Yeah it seems to be the PVP focus of Destiny 2. All classes have significantly less skill customisation than the original game, which makes PVP much easier to balance classes, but at the expense of fun and experimentation in PVE.Have realised something an need to vent.
Wth is the Titan barricade exactly the same between sub-classes? Absolute lack of imagination. Exactly the same jumps too. Couldn't they at least have thought up a different buff (i.e. more damage as opposed to faster reload) for the striker shield? Does my nut thinking how little different between subclasses there are now.

That said, Mass Effect 2 had by far the least amount of skill customisation in the series and is still considered the best entry by most people, so I guess Bungie are gambling on the majority of their players not really caring about customisation too much, and appreciating the kind of simplicity Mass Effect 2's skill trees had.
I was halfway through that last night when I lost connection and couldnt get back in. Looking forward to finishing it up later.Oh, I got a legendary "heavy weapon" on earth which has a icon like a honeycomb and It's asking me to go to Nessus to pick up communication codes from Red Legion troops to decode it.
This looks promising.
That's the problem with taking away the grind - you feel NOTHING when you get something cool.
Oddly enough people don't realize that.
The more of this you have piled up at the moment you hit 20, you get a real nice pile of legendaries to try out.lol, I know, I know.......but I had like 50 Tokens for EDZ already just from rolling around. Seems like they are really generous on letting you try to get better loot.....kind of cool we have a loot table.....so now instead of factions we get this. I like the new system for sure
But I have my eye on the gorgeous Negative Space that Sloane has in her engrams. Neeeeed it.
Your milestones is just like your current active quest log. I don't agree with leaving that stuff until you hit 260 as it's the majority of "campaign" content in the game.played a bit more today. at lvl 11 (124).
how far will i level up just doing what's available right now? so campaign/strikes/nightfall. i read you should leave milestones until you get to about 260 but i'm confused because it's stuff like play in crucible or get subclasses. i'm not getting any noticeable loot or anything. is it there milestones or something else?
i really want to be ready in time for the raid but not sure how to go about it.
Well, in Destiny year one, the only good legendaries I remember were the Raid ones (Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence), so perhaps it's too soon to judge them ?

Anything that rewards "powerful gear" though, you want to wait until you're at least level 20 to do, if you're trying to be efficient.
This game gets a lot more fun when you get a good gun
Was stuck with a sluggish pulse rifle, now have a beastly auto
Loving it lolKept telling you Titan was the way to go.
so just focus on campaign/adventures/lost sector then when i get to 20 start doing powerful gear milestones and that'll get me ready for the raid? i hear Xur is appearing tomorrow so how do i get currency to spend with him?
should i be buying gear from vendors right now (half way through campaign) or once i get past 20 or at another point?
If you're trying to just be as efficient as possible, you can just follow Grave's advice here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=248150006&postcount=7371so just focus on campaign/adventures/lost sector then when i get to 20 start doing powerful gear milestones? that'll get me ready for the raid?
I don't know that yeti hear Xur is appearing tomorrow? how do i get currency to spend with him?
Buy anything that is a substantial upgrade for that slot. Glimmer is easy to earn. (but again, not necessary)should i be buying gear from vendors right now (half way through campaign) or once i get past 20 or at another point?
Spoilers for Voidwalker subclass mission:
Holy shit, that was awesome. First notable appearance of last games' Grimoire that I can think of. The atmosphere was perfect, with the grim lighting, dead trees, and floating rocks. I know the first Warlock was Toland, but who was the woman?
There's no need to buy any gear from the vendors just like in the first game. You'll continue to get better drops from killing enemies and completing the missions.

It is not really necessary however.
You can essentially do whatever you want and consistently level/raise power. Prioritize the campaign as it unlocks major features and functions as you go through it, and your subclasses as you want those options.
I don't know that yet

You can wait to turn in your tokens to vendors for legendary engrams until you hit 20. No big deal if you have already earned one though (it won't allow you to turn in more tokens until you grab the engram at 20 anyway).
Suros Regime was godtier until ARs were nerfed to shit.
Suros Regime was an Exotic, no ?
I think once the first person opens that chest, that light stays there until the chest disappears to make it easier to findI found a pillar of light marking a chest on a patrol. Did a player place that?
anyone had matchmaking issues on xbox?
couldnt find any crucible matches last night.
got booted twice while doing stories/patrol
otherwise, game felt good. better than the beta at least. still wished it was 60fps.
I have on PS4.
Quick Play can take ages on PS4, like 10+ minutes. Competitive wasn't too bad though, well at least not compared to Quick Play, we were able to find a game in around a minute or 2 usually.
Screw you guys, this thread made me buy the game.
Only played vanilla D1, got kind burned on the hype, got suckered into this hype
Hope it's better.
Id there a euroGaf clan or something?
Psn: budstallion
I mean this seems less of a problem with not feeling rewarding for grinding for something and more so that the weapons aren't very interesting.Yeah... Short term the legendary/exotic system might be nice but I doubt it will work long term.
I haven't had a single legendary weapon that I've gotten (in about 20) that have felt in any way interesting. They're all very, VERY boring. Well except maybe one unique one that I got from a quest. And that's only in terms of looks.
exotic weapon spoiler rant//unrelated our old friend Hard Light returned and it's just as shit as it ever was. They weren't even bothered enough to buff it.

And I love semi auto and burst rifles but hate automatic ones.i actually hate scout rifles. any semi auto or burst fire rifles i hate.
I completely recommend Call to Serve. I'm actually using the longest scope with it too which I never doBasically rocking a handcannon until I find a good scout rifle. Almost level 7.
