Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

are you thinking of the gatling gun legendary? that's not a Machine Gun technically
No the machine gun from d1 that were heavys but it was moved to the first slot in d2
They were in the beta...
But I guess they are gone because I've played about 20 hours and gotten 0 😑

So my clanmates got a clan item from Hawthorne and see their clan stats in the menu. I'm the clan leader but I can't get the item and the menu says clans are unavailable. Are they rolling the feature out gradually or what's the deal here?

Seems like it. Once I logged out and back in, though, I had it.

Log out of the game and log back in. They said in their blog post this was required.

The story is so damn easy, I don't understand why they level-restricted anything. I don't want to do these boring "Adventures" (euphemism for "side quests") just to meet the hard-coded level restriction.

I don't know, it might seem like a petty reason to complain, but this whole level-restricted campaign is the straw that broke the camel's back. There are just too many core gaming concepts this game missed and that I find unenjoyable: 30 fps, aim acceleration, and ads sensitivity being the worst offenders.

I guess Destiny just isn't for me.

Well there's way more to the game than just the campaign missions, but you do you.

They weren't in the beta. Sweet Business, the gatling gun exotic auto rifle, must be what you are thinking of.

I hope they come back though. I liked them.

Holy shit...

I just finished the first mission on Nessus with that Failsafe AI and the Ghost and ughhhhh...

I can't...

They clearly don't give a shit.

Fuck it.

Oh lol did everyone have that at the start? I really can't remember the beta much 😂😑
But that's a damn shame sub machine guns are cool and everything but you have to be up the enemies nose to be effective.

Man, there are some kinderguardians in here that truly don't know what "grinding" can really mean in Destiny.

A few adventures, a public event or two a grind does not make.

Level restricted story missions? D1 didn't have that, did it?

Didn't someone just close-to-finish the campaign at level 13?

I'm pretty sure I'm heading into the final campaign mission and I'm only level 13. I've played some Crucible and done several public events as well. Is this normal? I was hoping to be 20 or close to 20 by the end of the campaign but I don't see that happening.

Oh haha

You can't select the final stretch of missions until you're level 15. There's a small stretch around 10 where you typically need to grind a bit and one just before 15. This is normal. Just about everyone is finishing at level 20 around power level 200, just doing the story and a few pub events if you see them.

This does kinda blow...

Minor thing. Has anyone else received unexpected Veteran Account emblems? I never played during Year One, but i got the Emblem for it. Conversely, i beat Kings Fall several times during Year 2 but i didnt get the Oryx emblem...

I'm not arguing that there isn't enough to do. There certainly is plenty to do. But it's all at 30 fps with heavy aim acceleration and too sensitive ads speeds. I guess it's the engine itself that I don't like, more than anything. If they could have gotten the fps basics down, then I would have tolerated the level-restricted campaign. As I said, the level-restriction was a relatively petty straw that broke the camel's back.

I read someone's post earlier this morning saying your alt will level faster than your first character. Is this true, and if so how does it work? Do I need to get my main to the Cap first before my alt will get the bonus xp? Or is it just from loot share?

Think I'm going to pick my Titan back up after playing Warlock for awhile but want to wait if it'll be quicker.

PC Feels much smoother, my guy. If that's an option for you.

This legitamatley might be my GOTY. Its Destiny, but much better, and its got an art direction that blows most other games out of the water. The environments are just incredible. Some really wild ideas at play.

Also if you dont like Destiny youre probably not going to suddenly like Destiny 2. Also Destiny in general is infintely better with a coop partner to the point I would say dont bother playing unless you have a coop buddy.

As the guy who is quitting this game for various reasons, I will say that the environments and level design are absolutely stunning and probably the best I have ever seen in a game. Truly stunning.

So this may be too early to ask but... Will someone not interested in multiplayer or grinding for loot find some enjoyment in this game? The lack of story, or so i was told, was what kept me from getting Destiny 1.

Some of the story missions you almost have to stop and just admire the attention to detail.
The stealing of the Golden Age PC/Server or whatever it is was an amazing level

It's not a problem really. At that point, strikes, and challenges unlock. Do one or two of those and you're good to go. That's not including PvP or class quests.

Story done! Now the actual game begins.

Think i'll get my main to NF/raid worthy before I rush the story on my alts. Will probably have to remake my titan though, she looks terrible after the conversion.

I put art direction almost above all other things when I play games. I was just generally shocked how much of a stunner this game ended up being. The 'graphics are ok but nothing special' comments in reviews kinda reinforce my mantra of graphics are a small part of what makes a game look good.
