Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

My first exotic engram decrypted to the exotic hand cannon I picked during campaign. I was frustrated but also very slightly okay with it because at least I could go back to using it for awhile before the power level grind made it obsolete it again. If I have one significant complaint about Destiny 2, it's that they still haven't fixed the way that your favorite legendaries/exotics become obsolete immediately until you grind all the way to the top 10% power/light level. The fact that legendary shards are not easy to get at that point in the game seriously disencentivizes you from keeping your favorite gear with you through the grind. I found myself thinking "oh boy, that gun will be really fun to use in a week when I get to 270 and it becomes worthwhile to upgrade it," which is a real bummer.'

Edit: Changing the currency cost so that it's proportional to the level you're upgrading the gear to would be a good potential fix for this, so that lower power level players wouldn't need to be shelling out the same legendary shard cost as power level 280 players.

If you're infusing using legendary gear, infusing only costs 1 shard. It's only if you use rares to bring up your favourite gear that things get expensive. Otherwise it's not a hassle to keep your gear relevant at all

I know I'll have to start fresh but if I get d2 on ps4 will it interfere with how clans work when I also want to play on PC?

Well.....

That depends are you going in blind? A no spoiler run into a raid is one of the best experiences you can have in gaming.

It can take a few hours over a few nights to figure it all out.

Depends if it's the fireteam's first time or not.

First time through of King's Fall took me 14 hours. When it's streamlined, about 90 minutes.
Cool. It doesn't have to be all in one go, right? You can save and come back later?

What's the recommended Power level for beating the Nightfall with 5 minutes to spare?

We had two people at 268 and 270 and one at 238 and we got done with 2 mins left. We prob could have got it if we did it again.

Do you get anything special for doing all the challenges for the nightfall?

Correct progress is saved for the week but resets on Tuesday

It's very easy compared to MMO's. Just takes some time playing to get used to. Also, ask any questions that confuse you. The community here is great.

Eh, I dunno. At least in terms of FFXIV, I feel like the "end game" upgrade stuff is much easier to explain than 2.5 pages worth of text.

Having a lot of fun with my hunter now! (When my net and the servers aren't breaking in tandem)

Just finished an Adventure on Nessus,
"saving" Fallen prisoners from the Vex for Failsafe
and hit level 20. Thought I'd head back to the Farm, and the game booted me. Tried to log back in and was met with the message, "One moment please. Destiny 2 is currently at capacity..."

That's new...

Guess the game's quite popular then!

Thinking back the last 3 years and about the Destiny community. It hurts to say but I think Streamers really hurt this game. There have been some positive streamers and Guardiancon is an amazing thing. BUt streamers strangle any surprise in the game and direct the meta in negative ways.

Controversial opinion maybe?

Heck of a lot of "Contacting Destiny 2 servers" today. Going into what I think is the final mission and I'm at a black screen with it replaying over and over.

I did all of Cayde's treasure maps and I got a couple of things such as Hunter of the Heart, a Letter Fragment, and a Charred Celery.

Do we know if these things are useful yet?

Is there a difference between just showing up to a public event and triggering one by rallying the flag?

Does either of those things make a difference in whether other people join you in the events? Because I seem to only get solo by myself events when I rally the flag, versus when I run to a location and an event starts, there is generally a few other people there or end up showing up. Doing these events by myself I usually fail them.

Rallying the flag charges your super.

Strangle surprise? if you don't want to be spoiled don't watch the streams. Directing the meta in a negative way how so. By finding the most effective tactic available and spreading the information to ensure that everyone is on an even field information wise.

Campaign completed. Was good!
I'm doing my second run (on my Warlock) and at the
mission when you're on the Almighty and you've got the blindingly bright sun to your right.
Man, what a mission. So, so good.
Especially the part where you have to make it through while trying not to get melted by the sun

Yep, awesome part.

Also, general question, is Tess Everis played by the woman who does Chloe from Uncharted?

What's the fastest way to level up? I started with a new character but I'm leveling up really slowly. I'm level 8 but I'm supppsed to be 11 to play the first mission on Io.

Start doing the blue quests at each planet. EDZ, Nessus, and Titan each have one.

Tip: Nessus exotic quest requires you to decrypt 5 legendaries and 1 exotic, EDZ has you dismantle 5 rare/legendary scout rifles, and titan has you complete a nightfall with at least 5 min remaining

Ahhh shit I shouldn’t have dismantled my dupe Coldheart!

I did it in spite though. Felt good at the time.
