Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Crucible feels really jank with 4 vs 4 it's like you guard the heavy ammo and kill people, or you get the heavy ammo and kill people, or suddenly supers appear and team wipe ensues.

It feels too claustrophobic and well if you shoot someone first they die, might as well be one shot to kill and save some time xD

Maybe it will grow on me but ugh not feeling it much this time around.

Edit: I guess the changes make "streamers" happy though so dat marketing /shrug

Am I supposed to be getting something for completing the daily Challenges for each planet? I go back to Ikora and she's got nothing for me.

Just buy it console man!

Maybe I'm biased because she portrays one of my favourite Suits characters, but man, Gina Torres is killing it as Ikora this time round. Excellent voice acting imo.

Apparently you can spot a Wolf looking over the Farm. Is Saladin keeping an eye on us?
That would be awesome.

:/ Haven't personally encountered matches like that (except once maybe). Generally it's been pretty D1 in my games.

Strangle surprise? if you don't want to be spoiled don't watch the streams. Directing the meta in a negative way how so. By finding the most effective tactic available and spreading the information to ensure that everyone is on an even field information wise.

Not what I am saying in the slightest.

People do not understand this and it really does make me wonder if bungie did it so people can stop asking for raid matchmaking.

I don't understand the correlation. I've done plenty of heroic public events successfully without coordination.

Full disclosure I also want matchmaking for everything in this game including raids.

Do you have the means to play it? Like what system?

Oh dear, please no one actually buy the game on my behalf lol. I have a PS4 and a PC, and I've already pre-ordered the PC version. I was just busting Marvel's chops cause he's already playing and I'm not.

I'm probably gonna get the PS4 version next year, I'm saving up right now so I can upgrade my GPU next year and that means no unnecessary purchases (like double dipping).

Agreed. I thought the same thing yesterday. She does a great job for someone who, as far as I know, doesn't do a lot of other VA work.
Really damn annoying how frequently the game tosses you into public events solo.

I just pop out to orbit and load back into the world when that happens. Sucks that you have to do that though.

Think I've finally gotten to the point where I can fashion my guardian up with shaders. Hoping to get the merciless ornament from level up bright engrams (got 9 saved up) so that it stops looking like a cheap plastic toy,
that's the most broken gun in the game

I never got Gjallarhorn in D1...

I'm happy to say I just got the (supposedly) OP rocket launcher this time around... Wardcliff Coil.

I've been balls deep playing and haven't looked. Is there slow down on the major public events on all systems? PS4/pro like there is in Xbox one S? Like massive single digit frame rates when all hell is breaking loose while guarding the glimmer. Or is this a Xbox only issue and hopefully the. One X also fixes this.

Thoughts? Thanks

anyone?

i played destiny 1 alot but after many hours i felt like i`m wasting my time grinding and knowing i wont get the best gear because i couldnt play that osiris mode and the raids. I dont like to use voice chat with strangers and friends didnt buy destiny 1. Matchmaking for strikes was perfect for me.

so my question is

would it make sense to buy destiny 2 with that in mind? is the matchmaking for missions better now? i remember the very difficult missions ( nightfall?) didnt have matchmaking.

Do they now? what about raids?

I haven`t watched any trailers or reviews of this game because i thought i wont buy it anyway but i`m starting to get second thoughts. Bought the Ghost edition back then . lol

Destiny 2 is Destiny 1 but better. But it's still Destiny.

You're still getting your bite sized, non linear and disconnected missions with post-Halo Bungie writing
You're still sparrowing through corridors into large instances before sparrowing back into corridors off to another instance
You're still grinding activities for gear and replacing duplicates with gear that is 1 or 2 points higher
You're still fighting bullet sponges (and bigger bullet sponges) who are only threatening in numbers, and not individual AI behavior

It is very much the same game. There is much more to see, much more to do, and much more to shoot, and all of it has been streamlined - for better or worse - to be less complicated.

It's not going to win over Destiny haters or "Destiny 2013" fans, but it should largely be a treat for Destiny 1 fans.

It'll be interesting to see where the game goes a year from now, but at this point I'm more interested in what they do for Destiny 3 to shake up the formula. With how detailed the Fallen have become and how similar they are now to Guardians, from their dodging animations to the camo, I have a feeling they'll be playable someday.

How do I get past 266 light? Is it just grinding legendary engrams in hopes that I get 270 stuff?

What is even the limit right now? I noticed blues capped out at 260 and most legendary engrams are 265

edit. oh. Friend on my list is 281. Back to grinding I guess xD

I don't see Bungle doing anything drastic with the formula - whether, by accident or happenstance or just sheer will, they struck gold with this franchise in spite of their own failings.I don't see them deviating from the formula - there will be slight tweaks here and there - but a shake up? I don't see that happening.
