If you're not min maxing I don't see why you'd wait for anything. I'm not doing that so I'm not waiting for anything. It's made this one of the most and fun and rewarding game experiences of my life.

Destiny 2 feels perfectly designed in its reward structure.

They can drop Exotics.



The only thing you should save is Milestones that give you "Powerful Gear" they scale, everything else drops at around your current level, Blue, Purple and Exotic Engrams.

In your inventory == decrypt away

For the gun he's quoting, it looks like it could've been a scrapped gun meant to be earned from Trials of Osiris in the first game. Even it's perks and effects hint at that(Since many times, you'd be the last person alive in a fire team.)

Seriously, opening everything and doing all the milestones as I went on with the campaign was extremely fun. Minmaxing so hard the first week the game is out makes it more like a chore imo.

Except that Trials is returning and those perks will be just as useful in Trials of the Nine as they would have been in ToO.

Some ideas may have been shelved during D1 and then picked up again for D2 sure, but I'm not sure what exactly constitutes "looking like" a scrapped idea.

Not really. You can push them next Tuesday and get there. Also you can just grind for exotics drops or roll alt or two to remedy situation.

If you had done things in "right order" you could get 285+ with next weeks milestones before raid on Wed. With less grind than you need do now if you want end up close to 290 for raid.

Thanks for the info guys, I think I'm happy I'd didnt do things exactly on the right order. I might have got burned if I did.

Ill probably roll a hunter. For some odd reason I don't like any of the lock trees. It's weird I love the specials but they seem to mix just enough "why is that there" for me to not be able to decide on any subclass that I really want to use. But hunter.....ho boy I saw plenty that I loved especially the changes to one of them where I just needed precision hits to drops orbs. That was a fantastic change right there

No, engrams set around a fixed power level when you acquire them. So hoarding them is a waste of time.

You can view the power level when you're about to decrypt them at the cryptarch.

I think if you pick up engrams, they'll decrypt at w/e level you are when you grabbed them, but if say it's a vendor who can give it to you and you back out of it unitl you're a higher PL, it'll grow with you. Also if you've yet to do the sturm quest I'd hold onto 5 legs and 1 exotic.

I'd be careful about leveling an alt of a same class. People on reddit are saying they soft capped the rewards from milestones if you do this. Honestly, there's a lot of conflicting reports here.
