Never knew Steve Harvey was on gaf.
Please...stop making that assumption.
Religion doesn't make them racist.
I am a minority for goodness sake.
The world is full of minority...religion is a global thing. Christianity doesn't just mean in America only.
You can't just "correlate" America right wings with all of us.
I am just saying that with religion, some of yall can interact with the community at large with ease and be surrounded with people who want to help.
But no, we are all right now typing and chatting online.
That is all I am saying. Yall just want to always want to bring down religion for no good reason...sigh.
It is the trend I keep seeing. People defending racism and stuff online.
This generation youths are so into the digital life, they can't see the social and political impact in real life with all the hate memes and casual racism they spew online.
He said that....but then there was the but. He basically took the same stance as boogie.I'm sure it's full of him being level headed and saying that PDP is wrong and saying the n-word is never okay!

Some of y'all need Jesus in your life.
With the internet making fun of religion and how science and technology facts>faith and belief, this generation is so full of apathy.
You can accept hard cold knowledge while acknowledging that faith is something else that allows humans to continue to put their heart and belief into it.
Growing up in a religious household allows me to connect with people and showing empathy to them, and being respectful to other and treating them fairly.
Sure, you don't need religion to be a good person.
But it helps due to the routine teaching and the everyday community you are always interacting with.
However, the internet and technology have disconnected us in real life.
Most of us rarely go to Sunday Church or religious events, we stay at home.
We don't even interact with other humans unless they are our family and co-workers. Even if we do interact, we stare at our cellphone most of the time.
Watching Netflix, HBO, NFL, playing games on console/pc and just simply enjoying the digital lifestyle.
So many of ours youths just go online to troll and being respectful to people by creating endless racist memes.
He basically took the same stance as boogie.
Why in the fuck are you even talking about this?! Why the shit did you try to bring up religion here? It has less than nothing to do with the thread! If you're not going to discuss in earnest then move on dude, your conversion attempts add nothing to the conversation.Please...stop making that assumption.

He said tons of people have accidentally blurted raciat words before.
Patrick Klepek said:Ryan wasn't a homophobe, but he used a homophobic word. That prompted a moment of reflection about why that happened, and acknowledging how the use of hateful words, even meant without malice, can hurt people.
PewDiePie may not be a racistwe can't know what's in his heart of hearts but he did use a racist word. So far, he hasn't given us any evidence that we should be in a forgiving mood.
And the top rated comment is defending pewd by saying he doesnt get why the word is bad, and that it was just a mistake. And also black people saying its okay because they don't care."This show is a conversation so I pass the question off to you viewers..."
*Next episode proceeds to agree with all the ones that agreed with his initial video and tell the others they're wrong*
I don't think so, and I watch them a lot. Sexually they seem to be really progressive, so nothing homophobe at all. Apparently Arin asks everyone involved to not talk about politics during the videos, but everytime they hinted about it they definitely didn't see pro Trump during this election. And at most Dan jokes about jews sometimes, but he's jewish and his father is Israeli![]()

Okay?
How about both?
I am a Christian and understand science...Wow.
Yup, our Church is taking advantage of undeserving people right now even though I just left yesterday trying to help people due to Harvey.
This is what I mean. Yall need to stop doing this when people bring faith in.
I am out...
It is always the same thing, science this, education that. Faith isn't just about believing in something, it is there to emotionally support and encourage other to lend a helping hand.

Thanks for this. What a shame, can't say I'm surprised though.Lirik's hot take is basically that people get offended too easily now and both sides. Dr. Disrespect said that people are too sensitive and to "get over it". CobaltStreak doesn't care about what PDP said. Other than those, I haven't heard anything else.
Man. Patrick Klepek bringing up Ryan's incident with dropping an offensive word and comparing it to this situation is powerful. Ryan handled that with more poise and humility than PewDiePie has ever displayed on any video he has ever produced.
As someone who is religious and loves my church, your posts are a load of bollucks.Sigh...always the hate. Why can't yall look at the upside? Just once.
PDP is an atheist...okay?
Your comment is such a dumb assumption, but I don't go around and say that atheism promotes racism like you.
I accept atheism as I accept my faith.

I was just brining up faith because of how real life interaction with our community helps us more by becoming a better person.
I even said that yall don't need faith to be a better person in my post.
It is just easier since you have access with other people in the community.
Sigh...always the hate. Why can't yall look at the upside? Just once.

You can tolerate people but at the same time you have to intolerate people who at doing wrong. You show compassion as much as you can but if they don't listen or improve then you have to let them suffer the consequences. Jesus Christ himself knew when to be kind and loving and also when to be strict and to the point.
If you must bring tolerance then bring the other part as well. That part is common sense. Common sense requires us to come to the aid of people who are being mocked and laughed at by a community who have abused them with violence and with words.
Look at this country right now. You think Jesus Christ would agree with some of the so-called Christians who are working to make others suffer? No he would not.
He said to love the Lord with all that you can, and then to love your fellow neighbor as yourself. Do you hate yourself enough to throw racial slurs and not improve? Accept all the religions because that is exactly what Jesus was saying, to love and tolerate. But He also said to love your enemies. How do you do that? By showing and teaching by example. When that doesn't work, then you let them to see the consequences of their actions.
I'll never leave anyone at my door who needs help, but if you're gonna be in my house then you're going to have let me speak my mind. Especially when the person is doing something bad.
Not really, it was a sugarcoated way of saying that pewd just made a mistake, but you shouldnt attack him over this. He even said it doesn't make him racist.Surprisingly reasonable take actually.
I used to give Boogie the benefit of the doubt but after hearing how he made a passionate plea for those to stop fat shaming I've definitely side eyeing him
Please don't use this racist incident as a platform to promotoe your religion. There's no reason to do so.

Add to the list of not being a shitlord:
runJDrun - the son of John Witherspoon (pops from Friday, granddad from the Boondocks) needs a mention because the dude barely swears, plays a wide variety of games, and is just cool as shit.
I don't know how GAF feels about The Black Hokage and The Gaming Illuminaughty, but I think they're worth checking out.

I mean depends on what you're looking for out of a gaming channel. Lets Plays? Video essays?
You know why I don't use a mic in online games. Because of shit like what PewDiePie just said. You know what else? He is the biggest personality associated with gaming and he just normalized it.
I wonder why people are discussing it on neogaf.com where we also discuss why 60fps is the only acceptable framerate and why Naughty God are the best ever? 🤔
Fine.
I said that yall don't need faith to be a good person, but I guess I am promoting religion.
Alright, I am out.
Always the same thing...bring up faith, people always bringing it down.
Just trying to have a conversion about disconnected youths and how online promotes casual racism since the youths don't interact with their community in real life...
It sure is hard to be a racist for some, you must wear a t-shirt with a swastica and say out loud that hates Black people so the n-word turns to be racist

Method 1 of apologizing for an insensitive word:

or

and then we have Method 2:
