I might be inferring the wrong thing from your post, but I don't think hoarding engrams helps in D2. When you receive an engram, the level of rewards is already set. It's just the specific reward that is unknown. The advice I've read on Reddit is to always use engrams as soon as you get them.

The only possible exception is not undertaking quests that will drop engrams near your current level (like Cayde-6's treasure maps) until you are approaching the power level limit.

Ok I thought that engrams were needed for some end game stuff. If the level is already set then I may as well use them but I have an exotic just sitting there so is there any confirmation on that??

But man doing public events is not giving me the blues that I need... do blues always scale?

So I just had a fantastic trip to the tower. Just finished Flashpoint, got a legendary engram earlier from a PE and then got an exotic engram in the last heroic PE chest.

Exotic Engram: Sunshot (higher than my current)

Got three questions as we finish up the week:

I've got a couple +5 mods that I could toss on some gear right now that might raise me up a point, is there any reason NOT to do it? At 266 now.

Do legendary engrams drop randomly at higher than 265 or are they locked there and we have to get "powerful gear" / exotics to move up?

Sometimes I see a servitor with a yellow bar roaming around the starting area near the church in EDZ, but whenever I or someone else tries to take him out, he just disappears after a while. Doesn't seem to be a public event... high value target?

I'm not sure about mods, because I haven't used any yet.

Oh, interesting. I noticed a "High Value Target Nearby" indicator on my HUD, and something like a "High Value Target Left" notification after it disappeared, but you might totally be right. That may have been coincident with the high-value Vandal moving out of the area.

...although the Voidwalker would be my favorite but... don't even get me started on the jumping which is just a shame.

Ok, so I seem to have a bug. I cannot dismantle or infuse any weapons or armor. Nothing. I cannot infuse or delete items. It seems stuck. I logged off, even shit off the PS4, nothing fixes it. What could I do. Is it a connection issue with Destiny servers?

Nightfall resets, if the raid was active raid checkpoints clear, you can earn raid drops again, and probably a few more things I'm missing.

Well, I'm ready for the raid. Will work on getting my Titan up to 295 tomorrow. Feel so bad for her. Started off the Destiny 2 journey with her since she's my main. She ended at 287 before I made my warlock. Now the other two benefited immensely from all the work I put on her.

Not satisfied with how my Warlock looks. Hunter is perfect as is. I like my titan's look but may change the shader.

I dont think the traveler was outright evil, but just wasnt going to stay and defend earth when the darkness came. It was going to abandon us like it did the Fallen. Rasputin aimed all its nukes at the traveller and "persuaded" it to stay. This is still canon.

Look for Fallen Glimmer Mining Public Events in The Tangle region. They also happen in The Cistern region as well but not as often. These events have tons of "Powerful Fallen."

I did mine at Exodus Black. There's a high value target Captain regularly and the public event with the Servitor somehow counted for 7. I'm not sure if you have to get the killshot though.

Just had four decent cracks at the Nightfall. On average got the boss to stage 2 or 3. Tank room was an inital hurdle, but we got through it. I just couldn't deal with all the dogs in the boss arena, man.

So a guide says I need to save 5 legendary engrams and a exotic engram to get a specific weapon. Try or not? I could finish the game pretty quickly and got two legendary and an exotic engram. Need to know if I should hold on to them or not.
