Man I am super happy sitting with my one character at light 278 now. A 300 character is just awesome.

Lol no one wanting to take a 239 to the Nightfall apparently. Guess I'll just get back to leveling and hopefully someone will run with me next week

I'd try to be around 250-260 if anything.
387 on my hunter and 389 on titan. shame i couldn't find a team to do prestige nightfall with, my friend's level was too low and i couldn't find anyone else.
started the warlock levelled up to 10 and got incredibly bored. i don't wanna play through them story missions again.

Yeah I haven't even tried it in D2 so had no idea what the level was really like. Somewhat surprised it's that high considering the Raid itself is only 260
you did see the raid requirements right? you are already above level for it.

Exodus Black is the best place to farm. If you don't want to wait for the fallen public event or a high value target, this lost sector I and a few folks I know went to farm for those kills:
In that Lost Sector, there's one yellow bar fallen. Kill it, fast travel to Exodus Black fast travel point, and repeat. You have to fast travel for it (the fallen boss) to respawn. Takes not even 10 minutes to get all 10 kills.
I did it with two others (twice) and two of us were below 250. As long as you pay attention to the rotating active elemental, and switch your weapons accordingly, that level is fine.
According to that wastedondestiny site, I've played around 72 hours now.
I did just one character at a time and held off on doing any of the activities that give you "powerful gear" as rewards till I could no longer move up in light through blues and vendor legendaries. Leveling the alts was easy due to transferring weapons over to them. Though I had to be level 20 to equip them.

They should have held off on the raid at least a few more weeks. People are rushing way too fast through all the content to get ready for it.
I'm sure there's exotic quests that will "unlock" after a while and old gear and weapons will return from the first game, but that's not the sort of thing the average player will stick around for.
I usually played pve and pvp interchangeably, I'd do one when I was tired of the other. But I don't like pvp in this one. I probably spent a third of my time in the first game in pvp and now I'll spend none.

Yeah I think a lot of these 280+ are gonna be surprised as the Raid may be quite easy for them.

Nightfall with 5mins left is BY FAR the most exhausting thing I've done in Destiny 2 so far.
I did it literally first time we ran the nightfall without even trying, but I didn't have the quest yet. Now that I have the quest, we threw ourselves at it for a solid 3h. UGH. finally. Dropped at 289, now 278LL. After rest tmrw I'll be 280+ and then it's onto my second character!

Jeeze we did the nightfall with literally 2 seconds to spare, I fell through the damn map midway and got warped to the start and had to run all the way back, finally made it to the end boss and he was working us until our titan saved the day and him and my sniper rifle went berserk last few seconds xD

I just wasted all my legendary shards by buying 5 Drangs from Tyra Karn for no reason. I saw Drang in her inventory and thought she was giving me another one for some reason, so I clicked Acquire. Then I was like shit, free Drangs! So I just kept clicking until I was out of shards. Ugh. That was enormously stupid.
They sell for 10 shards, and dismantle for 4 so I got like 16 out of 50 shards back.

Didn't play all weekend cause i was away but my light level is at 215 now. Will try getting up to 240+ and play with you later if you're up for it. Im on Ps4 tho
When I did mine with folks from the Discord we initially lost the first one by a wide margin.
On the second round one of us got stuck back at the Colossus unable to pass while me and the other pushed through the tank section on our own. We somehow ended up with time to boot, all Hunters too.
I just did it at Level 229 or something and I held my own fine.
aware of that and that's how I think the theories originated. To my knowledge it was never confirmed though

I feel bad but because of the awesome changes they made to Sentinel and Striker I haven't used Sunbreaker at all. Feels exactly the same minus more use of sunspots.

Yeah but if the raid works like the first game's raids do, the end of the raid won't be doable at 260. At least not without difficulty.
The reason Luke gave a range is because the D1 raids scaled up in power level as they went. So while the first parts of the raid will have enemies close to 260 and can be handled by 260 players, the ones at the end will be 280 enemies and be very tough for 260-265 players.

Chose it as first exotic weapon during campaign. Got it as campaign completion reward. Started titan got random exotic engram drop...sunshot, got another engram...sunshot, finished campaign...sunshot.
I did get another engram that was an awesome risktaker but that's it.

Not that I have found sadly...
The legendary mods the gunsmith has are based of what you can make from the rare mods you have in you inventory. So you would need 3 rare mark mods to make a legendary one.
