I think you do. AFAIK the level of the drop is based on your power level at that exact moment in time. So you gotta be kitted out with the best stuff even if it sucks.

What you should avoid doing is turning in any quest that have "powerful reward" as their reward. Those have a change of giving you exotics or high powered legendaries. Everything else is fair game to get, I say.

I waited to pick my rewards up at 260 and I got a ton of good stuff that instantly bumped me up to 274. It's definitely worth waiting.
 
Couple of questions.

What is this rat king gun people are talking about that may be needed for the raid?

Anybody got a time on the server maintenance tomorrow/today?

Which only deepens my depression.

The bubble lasts so little time, it's useless as an orb machine, no more weapons of light, they practically took it out back and shot it down like Lenny.

It's pretty much only useful now in rare "heat of the moment" moments, which I guess was what they're going for. But I hate it.

Defender was my main for three years. Life is cruel.
 
A little confused, I just got to level 20 and have purple engrams available from vendors like the gunsmith on the Farm and Devrin on EDZ. And tons of gunsmith materials and EDZ tokens.

Both engrams have a purple power of about 210. Should I redeem now or do they scale as my power increases?

And when should I be turning in vendor materials and tokens? Thx in advance.

You might end up being the most valuable asset to a team during the raid ;)

Redeem the engrams now. The power level is set when you receive them.

Save the tokens for later, they'll help level up quicker at higher power levels.

It's an exotic sidearm that gets a damage boost for every person in your fireteam (And within a close physical proximity to your character) also using it.

It won't be NEEDED for the Raid.

What's that Warlock chest armor and is there a specific way to get it or is it completely random? I like the look of it.
 
OK DGaf I'm in. Turns out i couldn't resist waiting for the PC version.

Need some what class should i play tips. In Destiny 1 my favourite was as a Nightstalker Hunter or Stormcaller Warlock (Neither of which are in D2 yet :() So I need a new class. Thinking Defender Titan since it was the best class for LFG compatibility in D1.

Thoughts?

NS Hunter and SC Warlock are in the game you just can't unlock them until you get a drop from free-roam enemies at level 7 and at level 14.

Just play your favorite class. Don't worry about LFG compatibility. Defender has been changed a bunch.
 
Would like to try Nightfall Prestige before the reset, preferably with a couple arc bladed hunters with that gear that makes your super practically unlimited.

288 Warlock gt LifeExpectancy on Xbox. I finished standard nightfall with 7 minutes left with a couple of friends.
 
Boy, 262 and blues sure are useless now. Should I just farm tokens for Engrams or is there a more efficient way to level?

Just play the game the way you want to, bud. I haven't been min-maxing anything and I still hit 280 yesterday.

Should probably look into doing the Rat King quest. Only exotic quest I haven't finished yet

On my 3rd cold heart and already had the lock helmet that looks like the statue of liberty twice

My oldest kid got D.A.R.C.Y and the spicen ramen exotic once he finished the campaing. I could have given him for medical experiments after that 😠
 
Did the Nightfall for the first time tonight and man oh man that timer adds intensity, I really dig the timer and element burn stuff. Having the element switch up as you're playing adds an interesting challenge. Is every Nightfall going to be like that or was that a modifier for this week's?

So I just bought it and started downloading (at 15%) but its already ready to start, however, now I'm stuck on the connecting screen (xb1) anyone having similar issues?

It's better devils. You get it either from a crucible drop or crucible rep engram. Has explosive payload which has no damage drop off, effectively extending the range by a big deal. It also great stats all around. Really good sights, aim assistance, impact, rate of fire and fast reload speed. Most of the other hand cannons have such a slow and sluggish reload speed that I hate using them.

Really like better devils though, second best hand cannon currently right below sunshot.

I got a sparrow and ship that I like so I dismantle all the other sparrows and ships that I get from level up bright engrams. It will give you lots of bright dust.
