Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Absolutely disgusting, but great emblem though.

Well that sucks. Guess I'll be switching back to the robe I had previously (forgot it's name though)

I wish they'd make it so that it's one per character maximum till it's available in December. It's annoying af getting a Coldheart when you get an exotic engram.

God damn! What was your LL at before?

268 now 269 😂 dat grind...

I can't decide if I first want to infuse up Nameless Midnight or Call To Serve.

I can't deny the extra power the explosive rounds give NM, but Call To Serve just feels so damn good to shoot plus Triple Tap is a good PvE perk too.

I want to throw my high power Mida into one of them for the raid. It seems the majority of people here are using the NM though.

I spent 2 hours yesterday trying to decide this exact thing. Call to Serve is great, looks better and sounds better. But I went with NM because of explosive rounds. Triple tap is awesome but I reload so fast with mods and NM, it wasn't a big enough advantage. I do miss shooting Call though.

Anyone else miss those fancy af Warlock armbands we had from D1? All of the ones I've seen so far seem a bit tame in terms of design.

Damn, I was hoping the grind didn't have to start till around 280

i heard theres a soft cap at 270 so itll get a little better i guess lol

You dont have to! Just get to 260, go in the raid, boom, well on your way to 300.

People here are just anxious and want to show off their e-penis by being higher than the rest :D

Shit, I completely forgot how good the raids are at levelling you. I was just hoping for some nice Leviathan gear.

What else can we brag about, if not our e-penises (e-penii?).

I got a 263 helm, and when I try to infuse it with a 269 helm, it says that the Base power is too low.

Yet an hour before, it was 251, and I infused it with a 263!

Any ideas??

That would make sense if your 269 helm had a +5 defense mod on it, but even then it would still be level above your 263. Check the mods on your helmets.

If there a mod on the higher power one causing it to have the 269 rating? That might do it. Infusion doesn't factor in mod gains.

Edit: aaaaand ninja'd again. I'm falling behind a lot today.

Anyone here using the A50? What setti gs are you using, is surrounded d worth enabling, I can't get the right sound from mine.

OK thanks, didn't think of that

Anyone else playing alone and having lots of fun nonetheless? :|

I have been playing alone for the most part...Tons of old D1 friends I just haven't joined any. Anyone seen Namikaze, Figadapaura or Hawkian? We used to do a podcast occasionally called Mythocast....Gotta get back into this game heavily. Just finished the campaign be and haven't even done any strikes yet.

As someone who really wasn't a fan of the first game, I am pleasantly surprised by the sequel. Great game for the most part.

Also, loving the changes to PvP.

On all the strikes I did solo with matchmaking, I only could finish ONE because every other times I was paired with absolute morons, leavers, AFK, suicidal teammates.

I don't remember it being that bad in Destiny 1, or is it just me ?

I know it's not what you're asking, but hit me up anytime. I'm always down to play.

Blueberries were very often completely inept in D1. Not being able to recognize heroic burns was the least of their problems. I have had turds sitting down in spawn, awaiting a pure carry. Also, people messaging me at the boss to leave so their friend could come in and have a chance at Imago Loop/Taniks Cloak/Flayer Mantle.

Disgusting.

Why though? It's not like Strikes are particularly hard.

Wow, really? I never had that experience in playing strikes in D1, even when I left/came back/left for the expansions. That sounds fucking horrible :/

10 minutes ago, start of the strike (inverted spire). First non skippable encounter, they rush in the middle of the mobs with their sparrow and explode in a blaze of glory.

Unbelievable.

Yeah, good thing they didn't cave under pressure and allow matchmaking in Nightfall / Raid, the horror...

Oh I promise you, there are Destiny players out there who struggle with the simplest things.

Heroic strike farming has been sold as an account recovery activity on eBay for fuck's sake.

D2 strike and blueberry experience has been limited so far. Mostly because I tend to play with clan and not solo content at the moment. Did see a blueberry run into Pyramidion lasers four times in a row and then ragequit once.

welp did a bunch of heroic events and the flashpoint and only got 1 LL

plus the fucking 3 strikes challenge for me is glitched i did 5 strikes with the shitest teammates ever never received.

and it was stuck on 67%

damnit bungle

You have to complete 3 Strike challenges.

Learn to read :-p

Man that sounds dreadful. I was gonna do some Strikes tonight, hopefully I wont run into the blueberries.

I think that if you aren't trying to raid ASAP, it's better to ignore the "ultimate efficiency" guides. Especially the grinding of all your alts using the same class. It's much more fun to switch classes so you don't get bored. I'll run an alt of each class if I run out of things to do on my main.
The only sensible rule is to avoid cashing in the "one time" powerful gear rewards until you've got to a high level or got bored of grinding.
Most powerful gear is on a weekly reset, so just hand those in towards the end of the week, or if you find your drops are not giving significant upgrades and want a boost to keep things interesting..

There's loads of stuff that I haven't done yet (most adventures and strikes) and that'll get me up to 260 light or so without grinding anything.
I've done a lot of heroic public events, which is the only thing that comes close to "grinding", but they've been a lot of fun. I enjoy touring around my sparrow learning the maps while I race to reach the heroic event in time.

Having said that, I'm only level 230. I reckon I'll be raid-ready by the end of the month without having to repeat the same stuff multiple times. Maybe I'll be nightfall ready by the end of this week.
The weekly powerful gear rewards should keep me moving up. The flashpoint, treasure hunt and clan engrams don't need powerful characters.

My flashpoint reward was a spiky silver helm that makes my awoken warlock in mostly grey armour look like the Statue of Liberty. The perk seems very useful too (faster recharge for all arc abilities).

Anyone telling you to grind same-class alts as an efficient way of maxing power level is an idiot. You cant even re do milestones. My 2nd toon hit 289 b4 reset and was a different class than the 1st.

Yesterday got my first random exotic engram to drop from strike (Pyramid / Vex strike whatever is the real name). Obviously its dupe Sunshot. Iam using 280 Ss and the dropped one is 270.

What do exotic non wanted eq's give when dismantled?
Not going to do it now but just in case I need to dismantle it, would be nice to know what to get.

269 LL and cruising blue cloak 260. Where are all high powered GL / RL / FR drops? I get only Sniper's and at the moment Snipers aint the hot thing.

I have high atk Sword but its not exactly great on all situations so GL / RL would be great.

254 warlock
248 hunter
248 titan

Got some blues to use for infusion so can get a little higher. Time to start the grind.

Has anyone else felt overwhelmingly confused about things in this game?

I played Destiny 1 for 500+ hours and yes it is all overly confusing...again. There's so much shit I get or know about and have no idea what it does or when to use it or...yeah, they suck at explaining anything. They must not have time...

I'll just be looking each thing up on the internet after finishing the story.

No need to make same class alts for D2. Leveling up is far easier than D1. Just keep doing shit and milestones and you'll climb no matter what. Even when I was just doing pub events, I kept getting gear that went up 1 PL at a time.
