Nintendo is a multi billion dollar company. If they can not create online themselves, then hire a suitable company to assist. If Nintendo is truly unable, turn over their online to Valve or Microsoft or someone else.
Mario Maker existing is the perfect opportunity to make a fresh 2D Mario game again. Mario games shouldn't be so paint-by-numbers that they can be assembled in a level editor. If it could be done in SMM, it shouldn't be in a new game. New powerups, new level themes, new gimmicks.
Might be mere luck but he got the date right even before Vern and got one of the previously unannounced game right.
I think it's worth looking over before the direct.

The new in a box emoji makes me think of the *new* Nintendo 3DS logo, so maybe a new Nintendo 3DS exclusive?
It already released in Japan, so maybe they don't expect it to do much in the west, so they feel like they can announce it.

Hmmmm as for Emperor, wasn't Assassin's Creed Origins once called (or rumored as) Assassin's Creed Empire?
I know AC was rumored for a while but then shut down around E3, but Ubisoft did say they have more Switch announcements coming "very soon".
Destiny could also just be Destiny haha (probably not)

I really hope it's much further along than we think. Would be a great 2018 JRPG.
No doubt, along with Lost Sphere. I just finished I Am Setsuna which I thought was really great, so I'm hyped for more of that kind of thing as well.

So that's why I've seen it in all the Switch sections of electronic stores here. I've been on holiday in Japan for a couple weeks and forgot it was releasing here early. I thought the cases were just placeholders like the ones out for Pokken and FIFA lol.

Yeah even if they go with a new art style for the 2D Mario on Switch they'll probably keep the New name since the series has gotten great sales and is well know to be 2D Mario by gamers.

This to me is the type of leak that's real. That 4chan garbage from yesterday was a fake. Also this person put "etc." at the end so there's more.
Xenoverse sold awesomely on japan and they said that would port "if the fans wanted".
Tweets about it had 15 THOUSANDS retweets. That is some "free mcnuggets" levels of retweet
I agree it probably won't be in this direct: announcing DBFZ now would cut the potential of XV2 in the west, and they're not Capcom. The ball likely refers to Rocket League imo, and the dragon is probably Skyrim and maybe DQXI imo.
