Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Does anyone like Sidearms for PVE? Every time I get one that is higher light level for my Primary I sigh. I HATE using them as a primary weapon, even the name tells you it shouldn't be a primary... I know they have their place (Or did in D1 PVP) but damn they feel like the worst weapon to use as a Primary besides maybe the Ratking with a full fireteam of them.

Like all individual weapons having the same arch type and perks.

The grind to get perfect armor and weapons rolls is what kept people playing. Unless there's mods to be released, I'm worried there just won't be anything to work towards once we hit 350 PvE wise and have one of everything.

I didn't like the old random perks (wow, a legendary drop! Oh, shit perks...), but the new system is a lot less deep than I was expecting.

I assumed you'd get weapon mods that were essentially the old perks. So you don't constantly trash your guns, but you work towards assembling the best mod combo.
But the mod system on guns is literally just one slot with one the elements (with +5 power for the legendary version). That's it.
There's not even any of the fast charge, speed, handling, reload mods on the guns - they're all on armour.
And for some reason, the kinetic mod is incredibly rare, so I guess people will just be grinding for the legendary kinetic mod as their endgame.
 
i'm online and playing right now, what's this maintenance people speak of?

also, i really dislike the control crucible game type in this game, much prefer the destiny 1 version. another thing, i don't know what they did to nightstalker but it also doesn't feel as fun as it did in the previous game

Yep, happened to me and there is an easy fix for it too. Just login to Destiny with your character and then select "Settings" then "Switch Profile" and sign in again. Now the achievements will unlock immediately or the next time you are in orbit.
 
Damn, I am enjoying this just as much if not more than D1... I wasn't sold on the Destiny 2 beta but bought it anyway, and now I am hooked.

I only wish I could convince my old Destiny 1 friends to at least give it a try, because I know they would really like it too.

The beta was a huge letdown
 
Holy fuck why is crucible so fucking easy? I'm getting a 4.0 KDR almost every game. Anyway how long is the maintenance?
 
Failsafe's post-campaign quest was weirdly touching. When the servers get back up (or, really, later tonight), I have 10 engrams to decrypt: 7 legendary and 3 exotic. You're only allowed to hold up to 10 engrams at a time, otherwise they get sent to the postmaster. Guess it's time to decrypt. C'mon Orpheus Rig!!!!

Depends on the gun. Rat King is pretty great.
 
Damn maintenance. Got out of my last crucible match for both the pvp and clan exp milestones and as soon as it finishes I get booted. I want to see what exotic duplicates I get damn it!

There's a few pieces of random detritus that you can find in Cayde's caches. He'll give you some glimmer for them.

It's up in the app (but pretty barebones) but not on the site at the moment it seems.

Closest I can find, other than the challenges, is going to the rep NPC for an area and they re-activate some adventures for you. But they don't scale with PL so they're kinda pointless.

Yeah but it has different perk set from its Blue!

Blue Version has Armor Piercing Rounds and Zen Moment

Ill have to compare the two directly and see if it matters since the Legendary has a larger pool of perks
 
urgh. i took those adventures from sloane and they're the ones i already done. just played through them again to get rid of them. do all adventures reappear? i wish there was a way to know if we had done them already.

anyway i managed to get from 239>247 today. slowly getting there. won't be able to play until tomorrow now :( might jump on real quick before bed to decrypt all my engrams i got.

You have to be level 20 to claim it.

^ Once Adventures appear at the NPC for a planet, it's just a way to replay them. They don't repopulate on the map once you've cleared them.
 
So no-one else was stupid enough to dismantle their legendary deluxe edition sword then?

I was hoping I would get another on completing with my second character but it was not to be.
