I like how the watch, phone, and earbuds can all be charged simultaneously on the same pad. I mean, it'll probably be a year or two before I have any one of those items, let alone all of them, but I certainly wouldn't want to be charging each individually.

Well, it's lift-to-wake, look at screen, swipe to unlock in practice. And you're likely going to be lifting and looking at the phone to use it, anyway, so two of those steps are practically inherent.

That said, depending on the options selected, current devices on ios10 can use a single ("long") button press to unlock.
