At this point I'm convinced we will see something Platinum related tomorrow, the signs are just there. If it turns out I got bamboozled, I will look like a fool, but I can't stop this hype this at this time.

Might be just the Okami port but even then handheld Okami hell yeah!

Switch isn't getting Okami HD on time but it's because Platinum is developing Okami 2 as a console exclusive. #Believe

Still on the Smash 4 DX for November train here. Anyone else?
It could fit but it's kinda close to Pokken DX and I feel like Nintendo's giving Skyrim the Black Friday slot. I could happen though.

I've been thinking Smash 4 DX in March to cap off Switch's first year and give the end of the fiscal year a nice bump.

So this is practically going to be E3 part 2, right?

Different situation.

E3 had Treehouse Live and all the press that were there, which was a tool to get deeper info.

This is a Nintendo Direct, with no Treehouse Live, which probably only will be followed by a couple of press releases. Perhaps some people of the press has some embargoed material that is related to the Direct.

A comparison to the April Direct probably is better.

It's a year-late port of a 2016 port of a 2011 game.

I would be very, very surprised if they attempt to position it as the tentpole holiday release.

I absolutely believe they're going to.

And it's probably going to work too.

That being said, the "tentpole" release is Odyssey, despite launching in the previous month.

My Animal Crossing hopes died with Apple's Conference.

As did my Zelda mobile hopes! I was surprised to see them focus on ThatGameCompany's new title but I'll definitely admit it looked great! I don't think we're getting AC until next Spring at the earliest

It was one of the best-selling games last year.

I absolutely believe they're going to.

And it's probably going to work too.

Eh, I'm sure it'll handily outsell the average Western AAA port on Wii U, but I just don't buy that there's a massive audience out there that is interested in Skyrim and either (a) has been waiting to play it on a Nintendo platform or (b) will double-dip just for portability.

I think it'll be December or earlier in November.

People said the same last year. It will sell great.

Just give me a Soulsborne game on Switch(ports included) and I'll be a happy man.

A Coop 2D zelda game that is built for 2 joy-con setup is also what I think we'll definitely see in the near future. Fourswords adventures->Triforce heroes->Twin blades?

Has anyone ever been to the live broadcasting in Nintendo NY?

Now that I live in NY I kinda want to see how it is but not sure how it's going to be like.

People always post videos of the E3 reactions from there on YT. I don't think that many people will show up for this but you can get the general idea of the atmosphere.

EDIT: Oh beaten.

Personally, I guess Nintendo doesn't want to end up with a "Switch-is-a-Wii-U-port-machine" impression for the Holiday season. What the 1st party catalog currently really lacks for the Holidays is a family-oriented game (like Mario & Sonic Olympic Games or Mario Party).

Is there credible info out there that platinum has something new in the works? I thought people were expecting bayonetta and w101 ports based on some tweets.

A Platinum producer already confirmed they have at least one confirmed Switch Project that is not a port.

The port teasing comes entirely from Platinum using its JP account to promote new images of Bayo and Bayo 2 as well as renders of Wonderful 101 characters playing Wonderful 101 on the Switch.
