So was in my local Gamestop yesterday, I had pre-ordered the SNES Classic when it was announced and I had it fully paid off but had lost the receipt so I just wanted to get a duplicate for when I was picking up the game today. I asked the guy behind the counter if he knew how many the store would be getting and he said he didn't know.
Got up this morning, drove to the store, asked to pick up my console and was told that it didn't arrive in and that I'm not on top of "the list" to get one. He then said that if someone doesn't turn up today that they would ring me and let me know that I could pick one up. He said the next batch would be in early October sometime around the 10th, but more than likely I wouldn't receive one until mid-December if not January.
I have no issue with the console being out of stock already, it's just how the store treats the customer. They have my email, they have both my home and mobile number, and yet no contact? Even just an email saying "Hey, sorry about this but your order didn't come in, we'll keep you posted" Something just as simple as that. Just totally unprofessional.
