Best Buy in Ann Arbor still has a few left. I went after class and didn't think they'd have any left, but they still had a crate full of them, at least 15-20. They were going decently quick though, the people in front of me in the checkout were all buying one too.

Anyone know if you can pick up someone else's treasure from TT? Friend of mine lives closer and is getting himself one. If you have the QR code they should honor it, right?

When I got the NES Classic they checked my ID and the code. Your milage may vary.

Not really. The inventory for treasure truck is effectively separate, however Amazon communication on this and the original nes mini has been disgraceful. Seems to be friction between them and Nintendo.

I'm going from Wario64 tweets about them not shipping pre-orders and instead putting them on TT. That's what I mean. If that happened, I'd be done with Amazon. They aren't a requirement for me and I would have plenty of other shopping options online.

I cannot believe some of you are so chilled that amazon are literally putting all your pre-orders in treasure trucks.
I would be going nuts. They should at least send peoples pre-orders first before doing this.

These units were never destined for pre-orders. They were always going on the Treasure Truck. Treasure Truck promotes Prime, the biggest money maker for Amazon right now.

FYI - It's up in Houston now.

Here is mine.

It's been a long night, got up at 5pm, worked 7p-7a, drove to my local store and found out they sold out at midnight. Drove 45 minutes to Best Buy, waited two hours, got my system, had to stop for caffeine. Home.

I have it, but I'm too tired to even open it right now. zzz

Is it confirmed that's what happen to the Amazon pre-orders. Holy shit if true.

I had multiple pre-orders because of this lame shit. I knew it was going to happen after Walmart cancelled pre-orders.

I got mine from GameStop through a pre-order. The store had 17. About 30 people showed up.

Seriously what in the flying fuck with retailers not delivering. SHAME Amazon, SHAME!

Pretty funny story picking mine up.

There was a bunch of firefighters that ran into the store in full gear and the target employees thought there was an emergency going on and people in line start looking around as everyone's confused.

The firefighters all just ended up getting tickets and waiting in line with the rest of us to get their SNES Minis.

I bet the whole time they were just thinking "please don't get a call....please don't get a call" lol

I mean it’s semantics. They always planned to put units on the truck so those were accounted for when they made the deal with Nintendo. The issue appears to be a broader rift with Nintendo retail on allotments and price. They’re not “taken” from preorder customers but in theory you’re right that they could fulfill more preorders by using that inventory.

I believe it all started with the launch of the 3DS. Something went pear shaped and it’s been an odd relationship ever since.

I’m stuck until the 16th to receive my Amazon UK order. :(

You mean a god send for people who couldn't preorder the minute these things went up.
Indeed. Amazon preorder went up at the dead of night while I was sleeping to get up at 5 am for work. The fact that I can use my lunch break to go pick this up makes up for that bullshit.

Yeah, this is the impression I got too

I wouldn't blame Treasure Truck for Amazon warehouse problems, they probably don't even interact with each other. The idea that preordered units are being used for Treasure Trucks is almost 100% false, that's not how these things work.

Not saying that Amazon isn't fucking things up, but it's not because of the Treasure Trucks.

Wow West cost here. My best buy hadn't opened yet but they're allowing pre-orders to pick them up early they also have a bunch to sell.

Got mine at Best Buy in Santa Barbara. I was the 4th person to get the ticket. So waiting for the store to be open.

The manager still giving tickets out but not sure how much left though.

Got my Treasure Truck NYC order in but cant get there until about 7:30p. Since the order is already confirmed is my unit safe?

This amazon live chat rep is straight terrible... Dude is being intentionally sassy, not helpful, and condescending. Now he is just copy pasting the same reply over and over, lmao

Not really sure how they could justify people’s orders not being shipped but being available day and date on the treasure truck.

I work with supply chains and can see how this happened. When you pre-order something from somewhere like Amazon they don't typically receive the product ahead of time and then send it out to you, it's much more efficient for Amazon to provide a supplier with your address and have them send it directly to you. I'm guessing the supplier messed up in this instance and the treasure truck allocation came from elsewhere. Still really sucks for those that pre-ordered though, hopefully Amazon compensates those who got shafted.

Good game, has co-op, and some of the most beautiful art work for a JRPG on that system. Hopefully you'll enjoy the combat as much as I did. I love their combat system they built for SoM.

Thanks, it's been a long time since I played an action RPG and this has always looked really colorful and fun. I just found out a couple of my friends played SoM co-op a few years ago and now am jealous, ha.

I'm at work with limited time to skim the thread, so looking for a quick recap with the Treasure Truck / pre-order situation.

Do we know that Amazon is allocating pre-order stock to Treasure Trucks instead of fulfilling pre-orders first?

If so, that is pretty damn low.
