All made possible by Wario 64 and me happening to refresh GAF at like 11pm. Can't wait to leave work this evening.

I didn't wait in line or pre-order my SNES Classic. I showed up 40 minutes after the store had opened and was lucky enough to snag one of the last 10 with no waiting. Checking brickseek was not a hassle so much as an exercise in killing my spirits until they reported stock the day-of. It was less work than it would be to do a Raspberry Pi setup (although I still want to try that at some point). It was easy, easier than it would be to build an emulation device to accomplish the same thing.
 
Is it worth calling around to see who may still have them?

I get off work in the evening so I feel like my chances could be non-existent.
 
Had my walmart order status changed a few hours ago to shipped, along with a fedex tracking number, so guess that went through. For the record, my order date was the 25th.


The Best Buy one already came by yesterday, so another plus to best buy for me. :p
 
No luck at any of the Toys R Us, Best Buys, or Walmarts around my work or my apartment. Wasn't willing to wake up super early to try before work, was hoping I'd be able to snag one during my lunch break but so such luck :(

Can anyone clarify what the small SNES cart like icon that appears under the boxart for each game next to the 1P or 2P icon is meant to represent? It appears on some games like Super Mario World but not Star Fox or Street Fighter 2 Turbo.

I have a Shield Portable right now and can use it to run retroarch and stuff with hdmi out but this still looks more convenient to use (and the controllers are more likely superior). Maybe if I'm lucky and find one in a retail store, I might consider purchasing.

Easy if you are following the news surrounding this thing. I would have possibility ordered one but pre-orders sold out before I even knew it was available for pre-order.

I didn't even know it was coming out today until I saw this thread.

Point is your average person is not going to score one.
 
For those of you in the UK, where is the cheapest place, and buy place I mean site, to buy an AC adapter in order to power the damn thing?

It's powered by USB and comes with a USB cable for just that purpose. If you don't have a USB socket nearby you'll need a USB-> wall socket plug adapter. Most people have several of these from mobile phones/tablets.

Uh, there's several USB adapters available that you can hook to an original SNES Controller and use with devices capable of SNES emulation on the TV. I own a pair myself. There's quite a few other ways too, not 'zero' like you claim.

Yep, my NES classic from them took just as long because they used bare minimum UPS, but hey they came through. Meanwhile my Walmart order looks dead in the water.

Just guessing here as I haven't had a chance to look at mine - is it games with saves and/or save states?

Same. They must be preparing it so delicately. Gently placing it into a bubble wrap cocoon, and slooooowly wrapping different types of tape to the box. Spraying it with perfume so it arrives smelling fresh. Thank you Walmart, thank you so much.
 
Honestly don't know why I bother with Amazon Prime.

Almost 9pm and I'm still waiting for my delivery from them, best they could offer on the phone is "wait a bit longer and see what happens".

Treasure truck in NYC!

There were so many people there. Saw plenty of dudes walking away with 3-4.

Fastest moving lines I've ever seen. Simply scan the QR code and they hand you a bag with a console.
 
If anyone has already picked it up at the treasure truck in Seattle. How is the parking situation? Looks to be at Starbuck's HQ.

I believe that indicates the games that save progress. It appears to be a pencil writing on a SNES cartridge.
