They just need to ditch the current design and stick a good storyteller on the project that can make Cyborg relatable.

He's essentially a kid with access to all the information in the world. He's from Detroit, black, super intelligent, athletic and kind of a goof. He doesn't really fit anywhere, he can't easily blend in with people like the rest of the JL, nor does he really feel human anymore. iirc, years back the comics played with the idea of him doubting whether he was really Victor Stone or just a program - I don't know whether story went, but it had a lot of potential.

Cyborg has a lot of potential, they just need to find the right people to execute.

There's no such thing as a bad character, only bad writers. A Cyborg movie simply needs a good creative team in order to work. And plenty of people on this forum keep saying John Stewart is trash as well, which is dumb. He's great when handled by a good writer. Cyborg just has the worst luck on that front.

Plus, here's the GL Corps team we need: John, Guy, Kyle and Katma Tui. Omitting Guy Gardner, shame on you.

White as shit? In the JL alone only 1/2 are white. SS had a pretty diverse cast as well, with maybe only 3 of the main cast being white? If there's anything DC is doing right, it's having a diverse cast.
