Is the official hakchi release out now?

No. Soon though.

Added a few games like Chrono Trigger and Shadowrun. But all the new games are missing the cart save Icon, so how do I add that?
One thing even the latest release of hakchi is not doing is flagging if a game has a battery save or not. Everything you put through hakchi gets this in its config file.
Code:SaveCount=0
Which means even if a game has a battery save function, you won't get an icon for it on the SNES Mini. To fix this, go into the /snes_games/ folder before you sync, and manually edit the .desktop file. Change it to a 1 to get the battery save icon to appear.
ThanksHope that helps
Wonderful news about the hack. I have two questions:
- Not sure if this is a team effort or the job of one or two people in particular but is there a way of donating some money to the people who've done this? You deserve way more than praise on an Internet forum IMO
- I always feared this but... to turn my SNES Mini into the ultimate Super Nintendo emulation machine I find myself adding around 72 games to the initial 21 :/ (This is a testament to how amazing the SNES catalogue is). Am I dreaming with those numbers? I've already culled the list from an initial 86 games... I don't want to delete any more![]()
Yeah ok I'm not sure about the in game reset?
In the app it's set to L+R+Select+Start
I'm trying it in Chrono Trigger right now and sometimes it only resets the game or sometimes it goes back to the main menu but the save state is just a dark screen with 1sec of gameplay

Uhm, not true. RC3 and 4 are officially from Cluster and his "beta" version.
I have 63 games installed right now and almost 50% left. So it's possible.

As long as you keep that original dump, you can revert at any time by just picking "Uninstall" from the menu.
How long is Final Fantasy 3 and is it grindy?
20 hours to rush 40+ if take time and do most things. I never feel the need to grind - the encounter rate is fairly high![]()

30ish, and no.
Is there a good resource for high quality Japanese box art?
Having trouble finding decent scans for certain games. Case in point:

Yeah this is what Im hoping. Never played it but Ive been hearing forever how good it is so here goes.
This seemed almost TOO easy. Im wary lol
Btw where are you guys getting your box art images? Im finding varying quality online.
That's amazing if true, honestly, would make me very happy. Wouldn't savestates get in the way? Not that I would, but say if I created a savestate for each of those games. I know there was conversation around that a few pages ago but I guess it's too early for people to have tested that?
Just fight enemies as you encounter them as opposed to running away from them and you'll be fine.
Frankly, the same is true of most JRPGs. People just run away too much.
Oh thats a good one. Gotta remember to add it to me list if it does.
The only problem I've encountered so far is that I can't use the save state with Chrono Trigger... When I hold L+R+Select+Start I get back to the menu but the save state is a black screen and when I load it it at the start of the game (with the pendulum).
I wonder... Is L+R+Select+Start a shortcut in the original version of Chrono Trigger and that causes a conflict with the emulator?

Some games used that as a soft reset. So maybe its resetting right before going to the menu. Try changing your button combo for reset.
That was reset on a lot of SNES games.
It's system-wide on the SNES classic as far as I know. You shouldn't be trying to use that for anything.
Makes sense, I'll change it to L+R+Select instead.
He should change it in the tool since this is the default option right now.

This looks amazing. If it would look like that on the classic I would use that more often, even if I prefer the razor sharp native look.
But this shows me even more what a blurry ugly mess the actual filter on it really is.
Is it normal everytime I have to redo something on the SNES Classic, I lose space? When I first put stuff on it, I had 236 memory, now I have 227 mb.

Did you tick "compression"?I added 71 games for 92 games in total, all with their box art, and it comes out to ~167/250MB. So there's room for plenty more.
