someone has the cover of hyper metroid ?

i only found this one

This works! The main entry is actually a folder. Inside are four more folders, each of which contains a different ROM (one for each week of the game) with the same folder name, file name, and .desktop file as each other. Doing it this way allows all four ROMs to access the same save file, so your progress will transfer from each one to the next automatically.

Has anyone gotten BS Zelda working on this? Assuming all the rom hacks are throwing it off would love a step by step guide if anyone wanted to PM. Only other game I'm having trouble with is Marvelous Mouhitotsu something something: Aounuma's first game. Otherwise fan translations of DQV and Live Alive work fine.

What is Zelda Ancient Stone Tablets? Lol we should start a rommhack thread I had no idea about this and Hyper Metroid!

Yo, so is RC5 safe to use?

And anyone care to offer an in-depth, ultra beginner's/unfamiliar with this kind of thing tutorial? Robin's was great, but I'm not sure it went into enough detail. I really don't want to mess anything up.

Still got some issues with a couple of games, mainly due to romhacks.

I tried applying the brick fix for Super Mario All-Stars. I'm certain I applied the right one (the non-headered hack to the non-headered ROM), but when powered up Mario hits a brick, the screen goes to black.

As for Chrono Trigger, I tried using the Chrono Trigger + hack because it sounded neat on paper (restores unused bosses and other content), but not only was the music out of sync for the intro (the one that plays when idle on the title screen), but I couldn't leave Crono's room in the beginning.

Anyone else tested the brick fix yet? I haven't hacked my mini yet but I just need that fix for All-Stars...

Hmm, modded mine and put a few extra games on it, but now I'm getting a C8 error every time I shut off the SNES. It works otherwise, but it's a bit annoying. Anyone have any idea what could have gone wrong?

It got fixed when I changed the folder settings to show the original games in the root and the rest in a sub-folder automatically. Not sure if it has to do with a certain amount of games in the root, or if original games simply have to be separate.

Ancient Stone Tablets is the second BS Zelda game (Inishie no Sekiban).

I don't care for the ESRB logo to be honest, but for the sake of uniformity and having the entire library on my SNES use the same style box art, this is what I'll be using.

The same was done with Terranigma as which looks rather nice.

I like the FFVI one too. My artistic skills aren't all that good, I was hoping someone had a US style FF4 box art. Everywhere I looked online it was FF2us instead and not the Japanese artwork reused into a custom box art.

there was a time before the ESRB existed, ratings-free boxes are valid. not time-period appropriate but valid.

Sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere, but have we already figured out how many save states you start losing for every added game?

yes, Robin64 made a post a bunch of pages back, try a thread search.

What the hell is Hyper Metroid?

literally the words out of my mouth. thief.

I was never into F-Zero growing up but I always enjoyed futuristic racing games. I tried the snes and n64 versions and it never clicked, same for when I got F-Zero Maximum Velocity on 3DS from the ambassador program. When I got a snes preordered I gave MV another shot and had a lotta fun. My snes came in last night (8pm....fedEx wtf?) and its badass how prepared the gba version made me. Great series great music.

Apologies if I've missed this, but is there a way to adjust the brightness of the games? Everything seems a bit washed out.

Thanks for posting all your Ryu screenshots that was interesting! I did one final comparison with the CRT filter and the only CRT I had, a Sony Trinitron which is scanliney as fuck so its not the best comparison.

The moral is, if you want a real deal SNES on a modern TV, you want an upscaler like the XRGB mini. Your TV fucking sucks at upscaling this old stuff. It never looked THAT bad.

Yeah, I was just surprised that the bad upscaling actually looked better to my wife and some people. The whole comparison changed my stance of filters now. I wish there was even more/better filter options, I used to be completely anti filter.

So have the tools been released to add games for people who do not know shit about how to do this (such as myself)? Sorry if this has been covered, do not have time currently to search the entire thread.

What Page/Folder structure settings are people going for?

I went with "Pages, Split games equally" as that was what I saw on a tutorial video, but the list of games at the bottom just goes spanning off the sides of the screen with that. Is that going to happen no matter what setting I choose simply because of the additional games?
Or is one of the settings a bit tidier?

The SNES' CRT filter is surprisingly good, amazing even. It's not noticeable on the screenshot above, but if you look closely on your monitor / TV, the scanlines aren't black, but a darker shade of the color above, as if it "bled" into it, which is what happened with actual CRTs.

I’m missing something. How do I get my box art to be full sized like the iriginsl games. It’s driving me nuts having mid sized fuzzy box covers.

Use the RC4. The RC2 resizes box art wrongly.

hacking: 2 minutes
selecting games: 10-15 minutes
boxart and icons: ....ill never play the games cause im too busy customizing.

This is me, hahah!

Has anyone else managed to somehow screw up their save file on any particular game? I played about two hours of Super Mario World and somehow exploded my progress with the click of a button.

be careful with using that save function man

First draft at Super Mario RPG PAL design

Though, if one is picky, I believe by the time this game came out, all European games started adopted the German design (which is turn is based on the American design).

Also, I've noticed that most of the results for the Super Nintendo logo that google finds are wrong. The red strip with Entertainment System on it should have the same width at the Super Nintendo text, with the right hand edge lining up with the top of the O. However most result have the right hand edge lining up with the bottom of the O.

So when I click Dump Kernel, I get a warning window that tells me to delete something if I REALLY know what I'm doing. Anyone know what I'm supposed to do?

That was fast. Thank the gods for all these good folks doing the hacking and Nintendo seemingly not putting much effort into locking down these mini consoles.

One of the appeals of the SNES classic to me is that it uses a Nintendo developed emulator, as opposed to retroarch. Nothing against retroarch, but I already have lots of emulator boxes that use it.

If I add SNES games using Hakchi2 will it continue to use Nintendo's emulator? Is there some more technical discussion or documentation on how it accomplishes the core feature of adding additional games?

I would assume not the UI is identical?

So what games are impossible to add via hacks? I assume stuff like Megaman X2 and X3 but I don't actually know.

Can I hack in a translated version of Live a Live?

I used RC5 this morning to get tales of phantasia, sfa2 to work. Also squeezed on Mother 3 and a few GBC, GBA, and Genesis games.
