From the new demo , both.
Just like i said , the first video are captured with HDR enabled in SDR and the second video are full SDR like when you play normally on a standard TV without HDR...
And ?

I don't even understand what that's supposed to mean, it doesn't make any sense on a technical level.
What is it that you're trying to say here?
People still fall for replays and gifs every god damn time, we all know gameplay won't be nearly as impressive. I'll see tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath
Except that the lighting being light years ahead of any other racing game has almost nothing to do with HDR.Your current screen is in SDR, ok? While this video has been captured in HDR and posted on Youtube, suddenly you see the SDR video (because your screen is in SDR and not HDR compatible) of the HDR capture ...
What is difficult to understand?
as fantastic as this looks this is a replay, gameplay looks great as well but nowhere near this level.

LOL LOL LOL...

People already pointed out the shadow quality.Yeah, as someone who's been using the attract mode as a beautiful screensaver this weekend, I do think a tiny bit of... I dunno, realism needs to be injected into this thread.
If only to prevent meltdowns when a tree pops in or there's a jagged shadow during gameplay.
Hyped to play, though!
Except for Driveclub I'd say he is right on the lighting part.
What does that have to do with anything that you're trying to say? You're saying something that nobody on this forum doesn't already know.Your current screen is in SDR, ok? Please elaborate, I'm curious about what is so funny in what I said. I can boot the game with HDR enabled or disabled on my Pro (and obviously, I have a "true", 10 bit, wide color gamut HDR capable TV, for the record) and the game still looks a gen apart from games released recently in the lighting department, HDR or not.LOL LOL LOL...

We talking about his video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cGPBdrSBQE&feature=youtu.be
If for you the render are correct , you have a big problem with your view...

HDR is different to SDR, that's the whole point in it.
YouTube has been HDR compatible for just under two years but that's got nothing with what you actually said. If a HDR video is recalibrated for SDR it doesn't suddenly become better than a video that is natively SDR. Nothing is being improved by doing it that way , if anything it would make it worse by doing that.
You're trying to tell people what they'll see but people are already what they'll see on their TVs right now. That's not going to change because of anything that YouTube has done.
There's nothing on a technical level that makes any sense in what you're saying, nothing.
Its not recalibrated , its here the problem
Its the HDR video what you see here but in your incompatible SDR Screen![]()
what the hell are you talking about? and in what way is it relevant?

because you said from a not compatible video with your hardware : its next-gen ...
Only because the render of the video are washed out , its crazy...
LOL
What are you talking about?
Your position was that it's going to look worse for people when they play the game, not a single that you've suggested would make the game worse to people that the video quoted. That's just not how this stuff works in any way at all.
I could be wrong but my take on this is that for some reason you picked this nonsensical reasoning to criticise what people are posting on here but unsurprisingly, people on here have picked you up on here for the technical inaccuracies of what you're suggesting.
How ever good people think this looks on YouTube, it looks measurable better when it's running live on your own PS4 in front of you. irrelevant of it being in SDR or HDR.
Are you drunk? None of your posts make any sense. Are you shitposting just for the sake of it?because you said from a not compatible video with your hardware : its next-gen ...

He doesn't know what he's talking about. Simple as that.what the hell are you talking about? and in what way is it relevant?

That's always going to work when you've messed up making a point, it's always a positive move to suggest that the person you're discussing things with has a mental deficiency. That'll always go down well on here.Wow , something go wrong in your head ...
He doesn't know what he's talking about. Simple as that.
He's mixing up beta footage with what we're seeing in this updated and graphically enhanced final build, and also comparing races with different lighting conditions and blaming the supposed lack of "HDR", failing to realize that nobody is actually watching these videos and gifs in HDR, be it because the source material isn't HDR or the device where the video is being played isn't HDR enabled, and that's a sure bet statistically speaking.
I believe he's just confused that the game looks better and is also being tricked by different TOD to come to such nonsense conclusion.
as fantastic as this looks this is a replay, gameplay looks great as well but nowhere near this level.
It isn't up yet.So are the servers down or what?
Digital Foundry really does need to finally put a nail in this replay vs. gameplay debate. I mean, PD's already said going back to when the switched to 30fps replays for GT5 that the main difference between the gameplay and replays is the addition of motion blur, but it seems that isn't a enough for some. Because this shit pops up in every GT thread.
I agree. Im very interested to hear what they have to say. The game looks fantastic IMO.Digital Foundry really does need to finally put a nail in this replay vs. gameplay debate. Some visual issues going on about 33 seconds in. The blue BMW suddenly has shadowing pop, almost like it had a baked-in shadowing applied to it. Maybe realtime car shadowing only takes affect within a certain distance from the camera? The white car behind it also seems to pop harshly into a higher LOD.
Overall it looks really nice, IQ and draw distance are great, and especially a technical feat if this is actually hitting locked 60fps during races on a base PS4. The lighting engine looks really good, but more...clean than DriveClub? Makes the environments look a bit washed out maybe? It reminds me more of MGSV's lighting, which is no slouch for sure. I guess Polyphony has always gone for that kind of look though. DriveClub's lighting seems to do a better job with the lighting of foliage, which probably helps it have a better sense of space and visual depth. The foliage in GTS is much improved from those initial shots we saw, but there's many times where they still really stick out as being sprites.
I'm really looking forward to seeing weather in the game.
From eurogamer:
http://www.eurogamer.net/amp/digitalfoundry-2017-gran-turismo-sport-ps4-pro-analysis
The improvements extend beyond gameplay too. Since the Gran Turismo series moved onto PlayStation 3, Polyphony has opted for 30fps replays, halving frame-rate in order to layer on additional effects and deploy higher detail models. This remains the case for Pro users running the 4K mode, and for base PS4 hardware operating at 1080p. However, Polyphony unlocks the frame-rate with Pro at full HD, meaning you get the full package of additional replay visual enhancements, and a (mostly) 60Hz output. Frame-rate only drops when many cars are on-screen simultaneously. In this respect, the performance profile in these unlocked replays is similar to base PS4 gameplay.
Well the proof will be in the pudding. I'm eagerly awaiting gameplay footage because these replays are in a different league to the way gameplay looked in the beta on my standard PS4.

I just cant beleive people are legit thinking what we are seeing now is gameplay quality.
Do you guys believe bullshots as well? The replays are essentially that when you compare it to gameplay.

Ive posted this a few times, but worth a read.
