Kinda confused on how the online mode works. Are there only certain events you can join? Is there lobby's or anything of that nature?
There are the three daily race events in the Sport menu. Those are the ones that repeat at the specified intervals and have fixed conditions. We made it boys and girls. Quote this post if you want your PSN in the OT for GAF GT Racing
Finally finished golds with the beginner's driving test section. That last race was a squeaker for me.
Also re-did the first row of Challenges. Man, that Camaro does not even deserve to be in a game called GT Sport. Also, so many ovals... :O

Then there are lobbies, which are player created online races. Those can be open to the public, or restricted to friends only (it's set by the creator).
Holy crap at that 1,000 wheel O_O
Do they really make that much of a difference in performance or is it more for enjoyment?

Star Wars: Episode V (Visceral) - The EAmpire Strikes Back
I just ended the night with my worst race. On the "B" daily, ... I kept getting hit from behind and ending up off the track. I finished 23/24 and got a red SR rating at the end of the race. Feels bad, man.
At least I'm still in the "B" SR category.

I seriously can't tell if this is real life or GTS. D: Which is it?
The Ai keeps spinning me out from the rear, do they have brakes? This shit is pissing me off and making me hate the game more than I already do.
Man, this game is incredible in VR. I can't get enough of it.
I thought Driveclub VR was amazing and this blows it out of the water. Outstanding work PD. Now please add an MP mode in VR so that it will be perfect.
Driveclub VR almost made me hurl 3 laps in. Is this alot better?
For what it's worth, I feel ill when I play RE7 too ( but not badly).
It shits on DCVR to be honest and I like Driveclub. The graphics are so clean on the Pro, and from what my buddy on a regular PS4 tells me it looks awesome on a regular PS4 too.Driveclub VR almost made me hurl 3 laps in. Is this alot better?

Probably won't be too different. Racing games are pretty intense in VR.
They should go to driving school first.
I tried it alsoMan, this game is incredible in VR. I can't get enough of it.

Any impressions from a G25/G27 user?
(or anyone who's using an unsupported wheel!)
.
I agree, I can't wait to see what VR driving games are like 5-10 years from now. It's gonna be insane.I tried it also
Legit the future of racing games
I actually liked playing 2d mode with the vr also nice big screen also less aliasing
But man the perception u get from vr is a game changer
Is owning cars a bit irrelevant now? Considering I can use any car in sport mode even if I don't own it?
The corvette through the chicaneFinally nailed all Golds in the License/Driving School tests. Most of 'em weren't so bad really. Which one gave you the most trouble?

t-gt wheel review
* Base is heavy AF, has a scary self calibration that slams the wheel to the stops left and right.
* Wheel itself is solid and buttons are good quality. Not impressed with material covering the touch points, feels rubbery. this is in no way a real leather wrapped wheel (pleather? fake leather?). But its ok.
* The gear change plates on the back are thin pieces of pressed metal. Do optional shifters fit over them? because they suck in terms of feel. they work ok albeit with a loud click.
* there are a bunch of knurled knobs that by default don't do anything in GT
* there seems to be a blue led at the top of the wheel which by default doesn't do anything in GT
In game, the wheel has a pretty strong by default force feedback that is always fighting to return the wheel to centre and while the tires have grip, transmits good feedback. What is very good is there is also a transmitted rumble/sub sonic feel that reflects the road surface, the tire grip, and a distinct change to lumpiness in this rumble feeling shortly before the tires let go.
If you spin the car, the wheel tries to spin as fast as it can to both stops, and the motor gets quite loud. But in normal use you can't hear the motor that turns the wheel.
There is a small fan noise constantly.
Heavy as hell power brick shaped like a turbo charger. Ok. Whatever. Am I paying for a designer power brick?
When you plug in the power it seems dead. No lights no twitch no sound. Only attaching USB or re-attaching it shows it is powered. That one confused me for a bit. You have to press the PS button to "switch controllers" otherwise its dead, like a DS4.
No special calibration options at all in game. Just button and function assignments. There is a force feedback level number in the driving options though.
It is immediately obvious with the wheel that you can modulate power (duh) and catch or balance a minor slide, and get better feel beyond just numbers and tire screech when the car is on the edge and also indulge in some show-boat counter steer drifting, even in the heat of a race.
With a controller it is a case of drive well, or make a huge mistake. With the wheel you can drive well also, or you can drive overly aggressively and slip a lot more but without going off, or if you do get two wheels off, it is easier to recover.
You can also place the car more finely for example those drafting exercises I often had trouble passing at the last moment with the controller whereas with the wheel you can get closer without miscalculating.
Conclusion: I haven't tried Fanatec so can't say whether this is better but the road surface and tire side-wall rumble functions add to immersion. The force feedback is pretty solid it feels like a magnet not a belt or motor, and I don't have any issue with smoothness.
The pedal base is heavy and the pedals look the part and are firm, the wheel includes some kind of optional rubber mod for the brake pedal which probably makes it resist more but it will still be position sensitive, not pressure sensitive.
