Yup its confirmed by ralph on the live stream and some other youtubers Q&A.According to this article: https://www.topgear.com/car-news/gaming/gaming-forza-horizon-4-will-be-set-uk?amp
We will be able to buy houses and undertake "jobs" such as taxi missions etc.
Can anyone confirm? Haven't seen it anywhere else but it is Top Gear so maybe they have inside info.
Pretty sure it will be Play Anywhere from the get go, same like Forza Horizon 3.Is there any chance this will release on PC too down the line?
Since the 3rd was Crossplay I dont see why the 4th should not ...No I wanted to know as well. I tweeted them but my Twitter account is basically dead and no reach. Maybe someone more high profile can get an answer.
Yeah, the progression could be confusing in FH3. I wish for racing series you could just go directly to the next event rather than have to drive to it. A menu system in addition to the map would be a god send.
By progression, I'm referring more to the carrot that leads you through the game. One of my favorite racing games ever is Pro Race Driver (TOCA in the UK) by Codemasters.
The original Horizon wasn't quite TOCA, but the story was fun and kept you moving through the game. The story in The Crew was terrible, but the grind in that game had a structure to it I found really appealing.
I'm not the type of racing face who's going to hot lap a gazillion times in Forza Motorsport, Gran Turismo, Project Cars or whatever. I admire them from afar but would much rather be playing FH, NFS, DriveClub and so on.
Love the franchise. Thought it would be Japan, but England looks great too. Shaping to be the best racer ever. Graphics are amazing.
There better be a bit of Birmingham in this game.
You can fast travel...
You have to pay for it. I don't know how many times I forgot about a series that I was racing in because of having to drive to it. I don't always want to spend the time driving between races, I just want to jump in and go. Don't have the time for that and don't want to have to use in game credits for fast travel.

Yo I just heard this game is getting a Crazy Taxi mode. They're really going all out!
A lot of people from outside the UK only know 'England' or 'London'.
In FH3 I did very little of the races tbh. I was always doing the challenges, like hitting big jumps, drifts, and racing sections as fast as possible (can't remember what they were called, speed something?). I got most of my followers or karma w/e system they used doing that. I really enjoyed that shit too. Hopefully those make a return in FH4, I'm pretty sure they are and they've implemented it into the online it seems.
Snowshill Cottage got me the most. I can normally tell night and day whether somethings a game or not but for this I had to double take.I genuinely got tricked in a couple of comparisons. October can't come soon enough.
Forza Horizon 3 didn't even require you to win anything but the showcase events to progress.
Interesting that Ralph said "at least 2 expansions". My guess is this game will be supported longer with more content right into the end of next year. And part of the reason for this is that Motorsport will skip next year and launch holiday 2020 with the next gen Xbox.
