This OP text is as lame as the "fanboys" it denounces.

Hopefully this proves to Sony fans that their precious company isn't flawless and they put out duds. Be humble, like Xbox and Nintendo fans.

Damn. Why you got to sound like a super villain about it lol.

Sony is precious. Our greatest natural resource.

Still buy the game tho. My precious...

I do feel like The internet has been going out of its way to crap on this game since it was announced. That being said I'm not surprised. Not a big fan of this developer

NO one says they're flawless. It's the fanboys who think Sony games get scored high because they're exclusive to Sony.

This proves that this doesn't happen. This narrative is dead.

Nothing about this game has looked right since day 1. But to be fair, IGN and Gamespot are hardly the ones to listen to when it comes to reviews. Might still be worth a shot, lets wait and see for more impressions.

When the game is good it receives good scores but when it is not good the opposite happens.

The games deserves the scores their receives.

:) Nobody is flawless... and reviews are only opinions after all... I play and enjoy Dangerous Driving for example which I find a great game but received lowish scores. For me one of the highlights of the year so far!

Sure plenty of people will enjoy this too despite what the reviewers opinions are... best reviews come from the players themselves.

At least it's something a bit different and not just another franchise... Hopefully it won't discourage Sony from investing in future in games that are not just another of a established franchise again....

Slightly concerning but I don't tend to listen to main stream reviews since we all know how unreliable they can be at times,. I'll watch some footage on streaming sites and decide from there.

So whats wrong? Can someone tell me what they said on their reviews or make a summary?

Also, whats wrong with you op? Does this game eat your homework or something?

Sony made a big mistake with this game, they should have canned it and disband his developer years ago and take those resources to Japan Studios for flashy AA games like Pupeteer.

Bend hasnt done a good game in like 20 years and took them 7 to dump this shit game.

I predicted this game wasn't going to live up to other Sony games, I wanted to be wrong, but looks like I was right sadly. Not a big deal, I still have huge confidence that TLOU2 and Tsushima will both deliver.

What kind of childish console war garbage is this? Xbox and Nintendo fanboys are humble? Since when?

Kotaku review complained about the main character being a White Guy

Waypoint complained about the main character selling a woman into slavery

Sounds like you've been salty all these years and were waiting game after game in the cut, behind a tree, by the river, looking through binoculars to finally have something to say to push your narrative lol 😂😂

Get out of here with tht childish bs. There goes your narrative and most tht anything Sony automatically gets rated highly.

The game always looked like a 6/10. I've seen many commenting on that prior to its release. Are everyone that surprised?

I never had a good feeling about this game. Seemed like a TLOU clone that's years out of date on the gameplay and visual design ends.

I think that between two Sony high profile games that were dated on a visual end (God of War is obviously a Skyrim knockoff), this one will suffer more. People aren't buying zombie games anymore.

To the surprise of noone, even the previews sounded pretty down on it.

Microsoft fanboys gloating on this doesn't surprise me, it's not like they have anything better to do.

Sucks it got trashed by ign and gamespot but hey I did enjoy state of decay 2 for what it is. Can't wait to get this game tomorrow.

I'm quite interested in knowing why you think anything written by IGN or GameStop "proves" anything.

What a stupid comment. There have been plenty Sony 1st party games with mediocre reviews this gen and even one with a very bad review Average.

ACG review is a wait for sale, but he liked the exploring ,the story and gameplay,as for IGN ,fuck them, before releasing this game they complain about the character being white,so I won't watch their review because its made by a white woman.

What are the main gripes?

Couldn't give a fuck about story (in any game) or stuff like that, so...

Is the gameplay lackluster? I don't even care about "gameplay loop", or missions... but the core gameplay feel itself. How is that? i.e. shooting, driving. Is that crap?

If it hasn't reviewed well with the likes of Gamespot and IGN then it's probably worth a look.
Agreed. Just cements my decision on purchasing this day 1. I usually love anything that the critics hate. For instance, I really enjoyed The Order 1886 and thought it deserved a sequel.
