I even had a little bit of fun with the Crackdown 3 MP. Singleplayer is just fucking boring to me.

Those scores don't say anything for me.

IGN- 6.5
Fun in small bursts, but Days Gone's repetition, bland world, and meandering story make for an unremarkable ride.

EUROGAMER
there is an entire story mission which you drive from one end of the map to the other only to witness this legendary exchange:

Lisa I don't like it here.

Deacon Okay

EGM- 60/100
You spend most of the game on a motorcycle but can't do a wheelie. Seriously?

Hopefully this proves to Sony fans that their precious company isn't flawless and they put out duds. Be humble, like Xbox and Nintendo fans.

That post sure doesn't sound humble though.

Sony fans already experienced Knack and TO1886 this gen, so...

Scores means nothing to me, I just look at them out of curiosity. If there's a game I'm interested in, I'll get it even if it gets a very low score.

The game is too repetitive. A common problem with open world games. Why not make the game closer to a linear experience like The Last of Us? Not everything has to be open world these days.

The obsession with open world games is unreal this generation. I can't even complete AC: Odyssey because I'm so burned out!

I never had a good feeling about this game. Seemed like a TLOU clone that's years out of date on the gameplay and visual design ends.

I think that between two Sony high profile games that were dated on a visual end (God of War is obviously a Skyrim knockoff), this one will suffer more. People aren't buying zombie games anymore.
I don't understand in what aspects is gow a Skyrim clone.. and what dated graphics?

I tell you guys.

I tell you guys. Thats game is horrible. Disgusting that Sony put this game in E3 and not the marvelous and Wonderful Gravity Rush 2

good. thats what you get for being 10000% unoriginal.

the game media did good today. no good scores just becuase a game has a big budget. fuck Sony for making this game and not making literally anything else.

If it had Assassins Creed brand attached, IGN would give it a pass for all the repetitive stuff.

Anyway, I have it bought. I'll give it a good chance. Important to support these games.

The Witcher 3 is pretty much the only open world game I enjoyed this generation, and even that became pretty repetitive after a while. And yeah, I also gave up on AC: Odessey. Too much traveling, and too repetitive as well. I`m so glad Jedi Fallen Ordner isn`t going to be open world.

I kind of expected this. There is just something about that game that feels wrong. I'm not in the mood for a open world action rpg anyway, so no hard feelings here.

Your game collection is probably ram packed to the hilt with unoriginal games and endless sequels.

I'm not even aware of another open world 3rd person zombie game... can you name one?

That's my game of the generation right there mate!

cut the open world part and sony has an another one to go with that. thats not important to the gameplay much

also most of Sony games this gen have been 3rd person action adventure games. which is what this is. realistic graphics and a real setting with a guy that has an actual gun shooting things

To the surprise of noone, even the previews sounded pretty down on it.

Microsoft fanboys gloating on this doesn't surprise me, it's not like they have anything better to do.
Don't think you can really call out one fanbase after Sony fans flooding every Crackdown 3 thread.

GOW is NOTHING like Skyrim. GOW has tonnes of Norse mythology and lore, Skyrim does not.... it's just a snow-covered land with castles and dragons.

This is our Crackdown 3 as a lesson from Sony to know the pain Xbox owners feel. Walk a mile in someone else's shoes I guess 🤷‍♂️

I know that feeling. Thats why i refuse to buy Odyssey. The game looks great but im tired of big ass open worlds that just stretch the game instead of making it fun to play.

Bloated, repetitive, cringe dialogue, story not so good. It's essentially a Ubisoft type game. And that's what i was afraid of.

Sony has been making ubisoft type games for a few years now . this one is just the worst. hopefully they get the memo to make good games again that arent trying to be lifetime movies.

By the way everyone expected that. The zombie trend died a few years ago, Bend Studios is a bit too late for the party

the game looks very buggy and it just doesn't look as polished as the other sony games. its ubisoft level polish. this game was delayed like 1 or 2 years. like actually lol.

reading some of the stuff sound they did not like deacon as character because he was not a role model. Yeah todays game critics only want role models which align with their political agenda. I will wait for actual gamer /streamers to judge the game^^

Lucy O'Brien has always been harsh on PlayStation games and the other day I watched her commentary on "Beyond!" and she was making fun of Cerny for using "out of date" phrases such as "Game changer".....

When looking at an IGN review, I think you really must consider they are looking at a game through a California "what is trendy right now" scope.
Now the whole "woke", "sjw", "female protag", "LGBTQ" thing is hot with this crowd and they are going to undermine anything contrary to that because they are shallow hipsters.

I usually love anything that the critics hate. For instance, I really enjoyed The Order 1886 and thought it deserved a sequel.

Absolutely... I was a bit late to the party with The Order 1886.... after reading the reviews my expectations were set fairly low... but.... enjoyed it. Sony's take on Gears Of War really...

Slightly off topic but its a fucked up world when the main character being white is seen as a negative. I really cant stand this shit.

Anyway i wonder if this will be another Driveclub where the game reviews badly but certain sections try and convince everyone that the game is actually great and reviews are wrong.

I like Phil Spencer but everyone else at Xbox is ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

This Brad Sams dude has a very punchable face.

Get out of here with that fanboy shit. I shit on Microsoft when due, that line in the OP was directed at the smugness of Sony fans since the release of God of War, they were parading like their shit won't ever stink. Acting all high and mighty. My post was meant to decrease console warz rhetoric.

I enjoyed the environment in The Order 1886 much better than that of Gears of War. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it after reading all of the reviews. At the end of the day everyone has a different taste in what they enjoy in a game.

I think this might be a case of being a little late to the party. Had this released two or three years ago before the birth of Woke U.S.A. maybe it would've been better received? Also, having be in the oven for so long and garnering all of this bad press because of it probably didn't help its case either.

From all of the recent gameplay I've seen still looks great to me.

This looks like a totally competent mashup of all of the recent open world action adventure games this gen. Nothing mindblowing. Nothing wrong with that.

when i get around to it , i think ill enjoy it shooting tons of zombies , riding round sounds like fun , not every game needs to be a deep experience. just some mindless fun.

Also for people complaining about the story ,I don't mean to offended but majority of video games have a nonsense narrative/ Story

Well,

Go with the scores of sites that had given low scores to gems like Killer7 and are in full SJW mode and journalist that almost have no sense and knowledge of gaming?

or

Go with the "User Scores" that are basically fanboys and millenials in "It offends me, its agressive" attitude?

or

Have a personal opinion based in what i saw, gameplay, interest etc?
