But, c'mon...Carlton's "tough time" has been going on for over two decades. Something needs to seriously change at that club.

I used to love Carlton during the cheating Silvagni/Bradley/Madden/Sticks era.

We were in finals in 2013. Even though a certain team cheated for us to get there, and in 2011 we were 1 kick away from a Prelim.

And those cheating days were fairly common, let me tell you that. If anyone thinks the Blues were the only ones with "paper bags" they're fucking delusional.

I frequent Big Footy! I was referring to the media though. They broke the story then went silent on it, yet are still happy to talk about how we got Chris Judd to the Blues.

The majority of footy media was out for Bolton's head since basically middle of last year. Yesterday after his emotional press conference, he was now a "good guy" who had a team full of kids that wasn't really expected to do better... and then we got the "why didn't they stick by their man" bullshit! Seriously, we have won 3 from our last 33 games! It's a disaster no matter the age demographic! That is near on non competitive!

These arseholes have to talk about something, even if it is lies and over-sensationalized bullshit. I know someone who is very prominent in the media and I can tell you that what he says on radio/tv is VASTLY different to what they say to me.

Hi thread, I will be visiting Melbourne for a couple weeks for work at the end of June. I would really like to attend an AFL match.

1) Marvel or the Cricket Ground? I have a feeling this has an obvious answer but I will ask anyway. Is it easy to get tickets?
2) Somewhat off topic, is there any way to watch a rugby union match in person? I don't care if I have to watch a high school team play. From what I've seen the Rebels season ends the weekend before I visit, but I guess there are playoffs? Feel free to PM me about this so I don't shit up this thread with Union chat.

You have to go MCG, just to say you've been. A lot of history there.

I doubt it is hard to get tickets as the MCG seats 100,000 people and only sells out Grand Final day. Maybe buy early to get better seats.

Marvel Stadium for the comfort of being undercover, but MCG for the pure spectacle (depending on the teams you watch, but MCG is stunning regardless).

In terms of Rugby Union, i'm lost there, although if Rugby League is to your liking, we have Melbourne Storm who play here at AAMI park. Another stunning stadium.

Jarrod Pickett could've been a really good player. I'd seriously love to know why these aboriginal players feel the pull of back home so much... He was exactly the player we needed too.

Waite got better when he left Carlton as well, and he was in his 30s. Makes me wonder if Levi Casboult would worth getting for almost nothing.
