Yeah, I know this is like my 50th laptop thread, but this one is a bit different. I will soon have about $1,500 to work with and I was looking to purchase a Razer Blade Stealth. I was thinking about the 4K option, but with tax that's going to run me just over $1,800 and I'd realistically have to save until close to February to get it (broke ass bitch).

Would it make sense to just opt for the cheaper FHD model? I love me some 4K, but I'm not really known for my patience (lol), and I'd kinda like to go ahead and get my Razer... Or should I wait it out another month and go big with the 4K version? I'm really torn on this one, guys.

If any of you have or have owned a Razer Blade Stealth or just want to give your general opinion on what I should do, I would be extremely grateful.

Full HD screen is just as good as the 4K but obviously less pixels.
If your doing any sort of gaming with the GTX 1650MQ then the 1080P panel is the way to go because your not doing any 4K gaming with that GPU.
Who are you kidding your changing your mind 1o minutes from now....lol

Read this review and scroll down to the screen section, it's a pretty average 4K screen and with a 13 inch screen 4K is a waste and bad on battery life.

I wonder if this bad boy has a better screen than my iPad Pro. I would assume so, right?

Don't expect high performance gaming on a laptop with native 4K. It's probably not worth it at that size anyway cause the pixels are so small that it won't have any measurable increase in gaming quality. However, rendering a game at 4K will reduce aliasing. But you can do this using Nvidia 4x supersampling at 1080p without a 4K screen.

So you can get a native 1080p screen that at default has high performance with the option for rendering at 4K using supersampling if you wish.

Or you can get a native 4K screen that has default poor performance with the option for rendering at 1080p with integer scaling if you get a 20XX or 16XX graphics card.

There are other reasons to opt for the 4K screen. Usually the 4K screens have better image quality etc. But then again there are some laptops with 1080p screens that run at 120hz which is another way to increase game controls and image quality.

Not necessarily if anything Apple usually puts very good screens in laptops and tablets, not saying the RB Stealth screen is bad but iPad pro's screen are very ,very good.

After further inspection, it seems the graphics card in the Razer Blade Stealth 13 isn't the greatest compared to other gaming laptops... Destroya, here it comes... I was looking around and saw the Acer Predator with an Nvidia GTX, RGB keyboard, and a 17.3 FHD monitor, but also in that price range was an Alienware that had an Nvidia RTX and a 17.3 FHD monitor just like the Acer. Both seem pretty kickass. I like the RGB on the Predator, but the Alienware looks like a damn powerhouse for gaming.

Still, though... Is the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti pretty good? I really need that 4 year protection plan with my laptop, so the Alienware is venturing into too pricey territory. Besides the GTX, the 17.3 FHD screen, and RGB keyboard, the Predator has an i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD. Seems like one hell of a package for $1,249.99.

You don't need a new laptop because your current financial situation does not justify you getting one.

If you have a BB near you go check out the Acer and get some hands on time to see how it feels and looks in person. They do have a pretty good return policy if you change your mind and offer accident warranty.
