The design wasnt what I was expecring and after the ending of KotM I was expecting Mecha-King Ghidorah but overall I like it.
theres another toy that kinda likes like Godzilla with some kind of red armor on his back that looks very similar to the ones on MG's back, so perhaps mecha godzilla was designed in the movie as godzilla copy that ends up going rogue? I mean it was pretty obvious they would add a third party but atleast its one of the cooler kaiju.

I'd pee myself if Mechagodzilla came from outer space and showed up as Godzilla just like the original Mechagodzilla film.

Im guessing theyre going for the kiryu origin: taking the skeleton of the og godzilla (or in this case one of his ancestors) and building an exosuit around it. i mean it does kinda look like a skeletal godzilla, followed by the godzilla disguise ala mecha godzilla I.

Yea I was thinking they may go the Kiryu route as well. I'm okay with that too but I vastly prefer evil Mechagodzilla rather than something piloted by the military with some power rangers shit.
Hopefully it's not piloted by humans. Rogue AI or aliens please.
and please, please ... more classic music... King of Monsters brought back a few snippets here and there but they need to go all the way with the music... it's 50% of the Godzilla experience

They need to rename the film to "terror of Mechagodzilla" asap

So looking like Mechagodzilla will ultimately be the main villain in this one then. Be interesting to see how this entry turns out. I hope they pull it off.

Not sold on that design, but it's super blurry so it's hard to say.
I just know that I'm hyped to see Kong hold Mecha in a full Nelson while Godzilla blasts its face off. WAIT WHAT IF IT TURNS OUT THAT THE GHIDORAH HEAD ATTACHES ITSELF TO MECHA AND BECOMES SUPER MECHA GHIDORAH??
Then the spirit of Godzilla's grandpappy takes back control of Mecha and uses its atomic breath to send itself and Ghi ghi ghi boi into the sun. Godzilla and Kong watch as a super nuclear explosion erupts on the sun and turn to each other with a mutual respect in their eyes. Kong take his big monkey fist and offers it to Godzilla, who returns it but almost trips over because he has short arms. They then part ways and become the guardians of erf, waiting for another threat to rear it's stupid space head.
Credits roll.
A familiar red glow emits from the black of the movie screen.
