Are you a metrosexual?

Oh god, here we go with another term. No, I'm subwaysexual does that count? Just kidding

Yes I am "metrosexual" I guess. I like to always look elegant and clean and I do that for myself and not the community nor anyone else.

To be fair I wish I was a bit more metrosexual and not damn rigid to practicality. Im 37 still wearing clothes from high school and early 20's. I have zero interest in fashion or looking anything more than appropriate for the situation.

Granted being metrosexual is different from waking up showering, brushing your teeth, normal expected human behavior.

In an era where "metrosexuals" are very common, that word means nothing

What so sexual if you want to look nice?
MEtrosexual is used today to describe the extreme, 4-5 layers of cream, makeup, completely shaved, super-thin eyebrows and stuff like that.

USed to be if you took care of your self you would be labeled metrosexual, which was a way to call you "gay that likes women", which is incorrect.

No, I'm old fashioned.
I don't shave anything that isn't on my face. I don't wear modern clothes, I shower once a day, I rarely brush my teeth, I never go to the dentist or a doctor (I believe in natural selection) and I don't groom anything on my body. I'm pretty much a caveman and I'm proud of it. I wouldn't even shave my beard if I didn't have to, I have to shave it because of work.
And I'm not even joking.

LOL i remember this shit

now looking back on it, it feels like it was a warning sign of things to come. artisinal shops and bearded manbuns read to gentrify your city.

I trim my beard and buy nice clothes and care about how I wear them, if that counts? None of that skinny jean, no socks, v neck bullshit though - chinos, tailored jackets and proper shoes.

I know one, a great guy, one of my best friends, but I still pester him about it since high school from time to time, all in good fun of course.

The vast majority of men are metrosexual compared to what men used to be like.

Which is great because otherwise it would smell like shit constantly.

I've never trimmed my eyebrows or the hair on my arms, legs, etc. I don't even cut my hair that often, maybe once every 2 months. I also don't use product in my hair. I just don't care that much about how I look. Not really trying impress anyone.

I wear black t-shirts, dark flannel shirts, skinny jeans, skate shoes, etc. I like bland, boring, muted colors when it comes to clothing. I'm a minimalist. Everything in my closet matches with eachother. That being said, I dress mostly for comfort rather than style.

I can "clean up nice" when I feel like it. I keep my beard trimmed nice, shower daily, wash my clothes regularly, etc. I'm no slob, but I tend to dress like your average "metalhead" when I'm not at work, or a house party or spending the evening at a resturant with family/friends. During those occasions I dress real sharp (AKA wearing a button-up, chinos, and dress shoes).

I haven't heard that term in many years.

I take care of myself a reasonable amount. Shower and shave every day, often times twice - morning and night. Make sure my clothes are clean and presentable. If that makes me a "metrosexual" then so be it.
