I believe the same and I'll elaborate why.
We might not get a specs sheet tomorrow, but I think Cerny will at least bring up the system memory.
PlayStation has something Xbox does not, a strong history of x units sold which they can use as leverage to get better deals.

4GB DDR4L isn't that pricey nor does it draw a lot of power that would flip their cooling system of choice or the cost of that.
Secondly and because of the above I do think the machine is 13.xxTF, it's within margin and echoes with Bloomberg's piece and other talks about heat.
Bandwidth at around 568GB/s (basically stuff that was already outed by insiders).

I'll also go with the flow other people have said for a year, that PS5 will have a better faster SSD. if SeX is 2.4gb, PS5 will 3.6.

8GB of extra ram won't add much to the cost.

when it comes to memory the only thing i doubt is HBM. it's too expensive + hot.

But since games and graphics are memory intensive id pick ps5 id pick both if microsoft adds more ram

I'm gonna stow away on the train, not because I'm excited for PS5 (Xbro all the way) but because I'm hyped for the next gen hype and there isn't an Xbox train (if there is, I missed it). Also excited for genuine gaming fans. Warriors can suck it 💪🏻

But makes some sense, after MS droped the specs, they felt so confident that they quickly prepared the reveal...

Ob, trust me, console wars are not a concern. This play will be a dumpster fire if they come out on top, or if they don't. It's going to be chaos. I only really let it bother me when it becomes personal, which is why I stepped away from the other *stuff*

The way I see it, people are crying over if they want a mars bar or a snickers, meanwhile I'm sat here with the cash waiting for the pre-orders to go up for both. I'm golden regardless.

The only thing bothering me right now is my cunt of a government that is doing everything backwards, and it's driving me crackers ❤️
 
Since its so fast after the MS reveal I feel they are so confident that they just want to shut down any xbox hype and peacock their way onto the scene to show how much better it is. And I doubt they would try and do this if they had lower specs as previously speculated.

You sign a contract with a manufacturer like Samsung that you'll be buying x million/billion chips and they give you a figure.
That figure is lower than what Xbox is paying obviously (PS4 sold 106M+ so far x 8GB chips in each (1x1GB) and it would mean 12 or 3 on each side in clamshell = 24GB.
I think the RAM amount is too high 20 or 16+4 would be cheaper and would make it a 320-bit bus as well (same for XS) instead of a 384-bit one and thus raising the SoC price).

No it does not work like, samsung will not favour sony more based on sales of a different products, ms + sony will be paying very similar prices for ram.

The more you buy the cheaper the price/steeper the discount / buy-in price - fact.
Same method is most likely used at your local supermarket with discount and deals - not a new concept.
For funsies: 106M+ consoles sold x 8Gb = 848M chips sold to PlayStation and counting, by far and large probably their biggest account ATM (Apple aside).

I mean even the ps4pro announcement there was some games to go with it. I really doubt cerny will be reading a bunch of spreadsheets. Im pretty confident they will show some games. At least godfall and bluepoint game. If not meh.

Not the GDC presentation.

Well if it happens to shows games it will be a plus for me.
The purpose of GDC is to talk about the tech inside the PS5... that is why Cerny will to the presentation.
