As an incel, I hate porn that involves couples

Consistently wallowing in this self pity and woe is me mentality is your biggest issue. Instead of wishing for a relationship, focus on yourself and the rest will come in time.
 
I actually like the couples porn on pornhub. Find a couple that's really into each other and it's hotter to me than some overproduced, strangely stylistically-colored professional shoot where the woman with dead eyes is taking her 4,000th load for the week.

I'm not mocking you. I'm single, and I haven't dated in a long time, and am working on improving myself so that I will have more confidence to approach women.


I had a similar attitude and then I realized I was turning 33 this year and I'm like, "crap if I don't start now I'm just never going to do it," and I used to be fine with it but now I'm not.


I spent years being like "I don't care about relationships" but then I'd see a couple holding hands in public as they go for a walk or making out in a movie theatre and it would bother me. Then at my job at the time I worked mostly with women, and it made me pretty lonely to hear them talk about their mostly happy marriages. At some point I had to accept that I very badly wanted a girlfriend.


This feeling you have when watching porn may leak into other areas in your life. If you really want a relationship I don't think giving up is a long term solution.

The confidence that you need isn't from the approach. It's the confidence to be rejected and still feel good about yourself, confidence to fail but to keep going. The more you do something the better you'll get at it. I learned a great practice technique that really helped me when I hit a null space in dating, pushed right through and came out the other side more successful than I'd ever been.

Might be I just need practice. We will see. I had plans to go to parties and other social events to try to meet women, but it's all cancelled due to quarantine. I now have to wait around bored for the rest of the month as there is nothing social to do right now. It was really perfect timing. I want to be out doing social stuff more than ever now that I can't.
