One thing I’ve learned from lockdown

Preach brotha.

I don't even have kids so can't even imagine.

3 weeks (I think... Lost count now) into quarantine (the last week has been 24/7 lockdown) and I'm tired of hearing her voice and looking at her.

I wasn't built for this.

Truth that cunt. Domestic violence is on the rise due to quarantine.

My ex wife when I was working from home;

"OK, I'm going shopping for about an hour, so finish your work by then. When I get back I need you to * MASSIVE LIST OF TASKS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE AT ANY TIME* This afternoon."

Me to my wife who is sitting on the couch looking at instagram after I've spent the last 2 hours playing with kids, giving them baths, cleaning up the room: 'can you please get dinner ready?'
Wife: 'God, I can't just sit down and have a rest for a minute?? Fine, I just won't talk to you anymore. Wash your own clothes from now on!'

sounds like a nightmare that never ends

such is life

Men aren't supposed to be spending all day every day with wife and kids. Lord help me

Come to my place then. We had a huge bucket of enormous prawns from the neighbor (he fishes just off the coast) and I baked nice bread for him and the guy other side of the cane field.

I still have a lot of steel bars, both carbon steel and basic 304-stainless so I am making tools and knives and planes in the shed.
Come over, we can do some steel work in the shed and then go down to the beach and make a small fire and drink some beers.
BBQ on the beach is pretty awesome.

can i be your new son?

I saw in the news that Wuhan has a pretty high divorce rate right now. It's a make it or break it scenario. Very hard with wife and kids but we seem to be on a good page here. Still, it's hard as fuck to do this.

It's hard. Two kids... 3,5 year old boy and 6 month old baby. One time my wifeand I argued so hard in the last 4 weeks she threatened to leave me 😅 but we start to adjust but the kids are a real burden if they are 24/7 with you. Baby keeps us awake during night the boy during the day. And when I have to work from home it's just non stop loud in the background 🔊... Can't wait till this shit is over. And have my parents help with the kids...

this situation reminds me of the xp booster in ac odissey, people payed 60 dollars for the game and more money to basically skip games contenents.

people have wife and kids just to be happy when they can stay outside without seeing\bearing with them 😆

Serious question... Can someone please explain to me why everything is urgent?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets this thrown at me. I simply say "ok" 🙃

Wife was bitchy the last few days but granted I havent been helping much so she kinda unleashed on me and it was a stressful 3 days, also have a 7 month old. Things easing off now. Woke up last night at 3 am to the wife stroking my cock so we had some make uo sex and things seem good so far. I just have to help around the house a little more and not forget stupid things lol

Total opposite feeling for me. I've really enjoyed being able to spend so much time with my wife and kids. Luckily, we all love each other's company. Been like six weeks already and will be at least four more. It's going to be hard to go back to actually commuting to and from the office every day.

We've lived the quarantine the last 4 years. No babysitting help from grandparents friends or family. Creche never takes child when shes sick (which is 80% of the time) yet we have to pay through the ass (same now btw).

My wife has calmed down a bit though. I'd been trying to quarantine since January and shed fought me hard on it.

Shes been more grateful lately but she still hates games :(

It always trips me out when I hear parents like this. This is so hard when they're home, yet you willingly dump them off with strangers. This is why we have all these dumb ass young adults running around everywhere.

Domestic violence is on the rise due to quarantine.

In short, yes, but slightly.
If you have time, watch this, by a Canadian prof:

TLDW
There is a single study with a rather small sample size, from hurricane times.
Number of women who reported DV increased from 11 to 17, this was the base of the known folks "98% increase" claims (no, it's not 98%)
Number of men who reported DV increased from 18 to 21. (yes, there seems to be more male victims than female victims, curious, eh?)

On a separate note, UK reported "25% increase in number of hotline calls" (whatever it means).

DV is the deadest of the dead horse and something certain groups lie most, second only to fraudulent "1 in X" sexual assault claims

PS
Wow, youtube video will "premiere" in 88 minutes. I've watched it several hours ago.

I understand you.

We don't have anyone to help us either. It's just me my wife and my daughter so we are used to being all by ourselves I imagine that thoss who have help are suffering now.

That's 2 weeks I've been off & we are doing alright so far.

We've been watching Disney + (when it connects properly). Making different things for dinner. Drinking a bit more than usual for weeknights. Been playing some more Halo with my son, MCC playlists. That's been a good laugh because his game time is usually limited, but it's the school Easter break & he has no coursework, so he's enjoying himself. The wife is obsessively hunting down all the bobbleheads in Fallout 4 as I type this. She's also hitting the Prosseco & strawberries.

We've just been treating it like we're on a lazy holiday somewhere isolated, because we can't go out. It felt strange for me last week because I'm so used to working. Holidays are usually few & far between. But honestly, I feel myself getting used to this... Which probably isn't a good thing.

Since the lockdown began I have been treated to what I can only assume is the tap dance version of the drum intro from Hot for Teacher performed by the three year old upstairs.

She's currently sitting in her stair well singing nursery rhymes like something out of a horror film. It's pretty late too!
