In 2005 when I went to a local electronic music club, I met a perfectly shaped blonde bimbo. Really really sexy and pretty girl.

That's pretty much all real life and not social media "gamer girls" I've ever met. In real life. Not worth chasing them off your whole pitch is "You like games. I like games. Let's date!". That's how you make friends, not start a relationship.

Well, you are right.
Usually the girls I met were not averse to gaming per se, and I played a bit of Mario World and Donkey Kong Country with them. And a few girls I met also had consoles at home.
But I wouldn't call these "gamers". It was more like watching TV together.
That girl I described above was a bit special in that regard, imo.

As an aside I gotta say I like that my wife doesn't really like games; playing games is basically my only alone time I get to relax. She has her own hobbies too so usually there's no problem.
A while ago I dated a "Gamer Girl". She was also an Era-type who basically only played games with female characters or anime characters. She had a really shit personality and would get super defensive over game preference. Like I would have to watch her play Kingdom Hearts and when she asked if I wanted to play I would just say that I tried it before I don't really care for it; politely declining.
If she saw me playing something she'd start talking shit about it saying it sucked or something (she said this about Dark Souls and Witcher 3 ffs). Really weird/annoying person tbh.
I think I'm in the camp that sharing hobbies can be worse than not sharing hobbies.

My wife enjoys the odd game, bit of Witcher 3, etc among the traditional girl stuff (Sims) - she beats me at Sonic Allstars Transformed too. She enjoys what she enjoys and I like what I like and we don't fall out over it. She understands I need my nerd time and my man cave with VR gear etc and that's cool. It works for me, though I didn't have gamer girl as an essential criteria, instead just looking for nice tits and someone I can get along with. She's basically a best mate with a fantastic rack and you can't go wrong with that.
