I initially thought based of the sales and seeming popularity of the first we would be looking at a potential 15-20 million seller when all is said and done. Now, im thinking it will be lucky to cross 10 million. When word gets out about WHAT and WHO this game is now about i can see it turning off ALOT of people. This is the last jedi on steroids.

This kind of thing usually has a bit of an impact on the present release, but the brunt of it gets felt by the time the sequel comes out.

While I agree mostly, it's the 'authenticity' of how changes are made and in what climate. This wasn't a magic switch where everyone was fine on Monday then on Wednesday everyone was foaming at the moutn. The initial murmurings were like 5/6 years ago when films like the Magnificent Seven completely diversified the cast. 2016 stole the show because of how everyone was misogynist and sexist due to the Ghostbusters debacle, but if you dig deeper there were as many pissed off fans about this male diversity swap as well.


However, that doesn't make great headlines. There was plenty wrong with both films aside from the cast and at this stage most people were just like 'yeah, it's noticeable and it's becoming annoying'. Contrast Ghostbusters to Annihilation for example, no one had an issue with this. And no-one had any issues with the films you mentioned. You saw the same shit with The Bourne Legacy.



Certain changes and agenda's transcend the medium and as soon as they do, it becomes a problem. Where does it stop? Shall we cheer as boats drop anchor in Boston and dozens of Korean and Mexican slaves disembark? Why did Bridesmaids become a seperate IP and not just a female 'Hangover'? There are reasons. Why can't James Bond be made a woman, but could have their own film called '009'?

People from both sides are disingenuous to support their side. I said this before, if they made a film with Adam Sandler, Martin Lawrence, Will Ferrell and James Corden as the Ghostbusters, it would have bombed as hard - if not harder.

It really all depends.

Hollywood is rebooting films that no one is asking for. Maybe an all-female Ghostbusters film can work if the casting and writing was better.


I use Batwoman as an example because it's a clear example of agenda pushing.

There's nothing wrong with Batwoman being a lesbian, but the message they're sending is that it's an anti-male series.

I think you would be dissappointed.

The female soccer usa team is the best in the world, yet they get their ass kicked by amateur 14 year old teenagers that are at the bottom in the male category. The differences are too big.

And we aren't talking about random men, we are talking about super commando men capable of singlehandedly destroy a large militia. Maybe is established that Nadine is the only person in the world of Uncharted to have received combat training

If Nadine was taking on random civilians, it maybe would be believable. If those civilians don't happen to be much more bigger than her. But she was overpowering people who is well established they were killing trained mercenaries and beating super strong men like crazy for years.
