Finished Uncharted Series and did some old Sonic games. Doing BioShock series right now, almost done and will play Portal 2 for the first time. Exciting times and games for my channel.

Several hours into Death Stranding and on chapter 5.
No spoilers but what I will say is that it has a very slow but still enjoyable beginning (essentially a very detailed tutorial) then suddenly becomes something close to a build-your-own sandbox of sorts.
It really pays off to pay attention to the details. Almost no discovered item or random delivery goes to waste if you utilise them correctly. I was expecting a grim hard slog of a game, and while that's definitely part of it I wasn't expecting it to be so much fun. At times it's like an advanced version of Far Cry.

Thoughts on the Uncharted series, I'm assuming it's your first go through?
Finished up Ori and the Blind Forest. Brilliant game, charming. Will hold off on Will of the Wisps for a while due to my backlog but looking forward to the sequel.
I've also been dusting off the PSVR recently. 3 chapters into Rush of Blood and loving it. I've got Astrobot unopened from a Black Friday deal that I'll be playing afterwards.
Was going to start the Kingdom Hearts Collection: Story so Far on PS4 next but with it being added to Gamepass, I'll start in on the X1 tomorrow.
Other games that I'm playing regularly include PES 2020 MyClub (finally reached the Champion badge 1000+ rating) as well as Sea of Thieves, WarZone and The Division 2 online with friends.
I also bit at the £12 AC:Origins Season Pass deal on X1 after completing the main game recently so will be jumping back into that soon.

Chapter 7 now in The Evil Within 2. It's ridiculously good. The more open nature is a stark contrast to its predecessor and I like it a lot. The monster design is terrific. Obscura really sends shivers down your spine. She is in the same vein as Shade from Kidman's DLC.
One thing I've noticed more during this playthrough is the framerate, which is absolutely atrocious during certain times. It can sometimes dip to single digits during intense moments. Guess I've become more sensitive to that in recent years.

The Evil Within 2 and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze completed. Both really good games.
TEW 2 is shaping up to be one if my favorite franchises. It has filled the void that RE and Silent Hill has created in their absence, with RE taking a different path with 7 and SH being completely AWOL.
Tropical Freeze was an excellent platformer. I'm not that into the genre but this was a fun romp, with very creative level design and cool bosses. It was also very challenging. Some sections were hard as nails and required lots of trial and error. Overall, another great exclusive from Nintendo.

Resident Evil 7 VR is just straight up the most impressive use of VR I've encountered yet (unless Alyx changes my mind when I play it later this year). It singlehandedly has convinced me that VR is the future of gaming if they can get prices down. An entire industry could be created around remastering fan favorite games in VR. The game also is great in itself and is a top tier Resident Evil.
Head tracking weapon aiming is effortless. Like using a mouse on PC except with your head and the accuracy is pinpoint. Even with PSVR's poor visual tech, the game looks incredible (I can't wait to try out Alyx on the upcoming Reverb G2 if VR can look this good in 1080p). There is no possible way to explain to someone who hasn't tried an expensive VR set how life changing it is to play a game where your body is the character in the world 1:1, walking and fighting through the game versus staring at an avatar on a screen. The entire package feels like an evolution of what gaming is.

Encountered a bug in Red Faction so I can't finish a mission. There is probably some workaround or some step I must do in order to not trigger it, but I'm pretty done with this game. It's repetitive and mediocre. The only fun thing was wrecking shit. Was near the ending anyway. This is not a game I will keep in my collection.

Just finished Assassin's Creed Origins. Wow, oh wow that game was awesome. I wasn't sure how I would like AC becoming an RPG in an open world, but it definitely worked. Traveling by my trusty camel was enjoyable and the world was simply beautiful. I really wasn't prepared for the great designs in these cities.
I've heard most people's fave city is Cyrene, but mine is either Alexandria or Memphis. The first time I set foot in Alexandria, my mouth dropped and I thought ok, this is AC. I needed a big city and was nervous after being in the villages and small towns for the first 3 or 4 hours. I really started the learn the layout of the City and where things were, moreso than in other games. Memphis was great because it had a lot of my favorite missions. I always found myself going back to Memphis to complete quests.
And speaking of quests, though I didn't initially appreciate the game making me run through side missions, I really enjoyed following the stories of minor characters. I got really invested in the fates. I did all of the side missions in Faiyum and actually helped the town rebel against the Romans in a really well connected tale that had me freeing rebel leadership and assassinating the Romans. It seems very par for the course, but I really felt like I was helping and started to care. Once I got my level high enough to continue the main story, I could've left it alone but I didn't want to.
I loved the ending of this (not going to spoil), but where the game's finish takes place was a HUGE surprise and I was really happy to see it. The fate of both Bayek and Aya was really memorable and I loved their arcs. It was a realistic expectation given their circumstances. And the way they explain the origins of the assassins and their symbol was really satisfying.
Now I have the option of starting the DLC story, Hidden Ones, but I don't really want to. I've found that I don't love the DLC in AC as much as the actual main stories. They just don't have the same urgency and weight as the main stories, so I'm going to take a break from Origins and come back later. I don't want to sully the experience by continuing when I'm not having fun.
I know I said this about Unity and Syndicate, but this game is also a 10. I loved it and really appreciate how the gameplay evolved and accommodated an open world. AC really is my favorite game series. No other games let you run around these amazing historic worlds and assassinate evil historical figures. Running around Egypt was a blast and I'll never forget it. Now, I'm onto Odyssey and Classical Greece! I've been really looking forward to this. But most of all, the quality of Origins has me pumped for Valhalla due to the direction of Ashraf. That guy can really make a great game.

I'm enjoying it. Feel a bit miffy I didn't give it a chance back when it was released. Its funny to think that arcadey, stylish third person shooters like this aren't really being made anymore. I'm also kinda surprised Bethesda doesn't bring Rubi back. She's the kind of female protag that would fit pretty well in the ongoing trend of female action hero games. Although, I kind of dread what they would of her appearence in this day and age.
Also, got Split/second lined up. Looking forward to that and I'll be switching between the two.

Fallout 3, going from New Vegas to 3 it's clear why people prefer New Vegas but 3 is still pretty great and I've got a ways to go before finalizing my opinion on it. To be clear these are replays, I got nearly every achievement (including DLCs) for 3 on 360 back when it released, currently replaying GOTY edition on Steam.

Assassin's Creed II remastered (PS4 pro). I just finished Assassin's Creed Odyssey and thought it was pretty OK, at least the best one since Black Flag.
Then I went back to the roots and played the first game on Xbox One X (360 BC) and holy shit, what a frustrating game. It has its moments but on the whole, not very enjoyable.
But Assassin's Creed II, Whoah! What a sequel! It's so much more playable and appealing, a very fun game.
I've played it before back in the days and the gameplay has aged very well. Nice remaster!
I'm really looking forward to replaying Brotherhood soon.

Just beat Ryse Son Of Rome. That was really awesome. Thinking about trying For Honor next. Is the combat similar at all? Does it have a story mode? I've only seen people fight against others online. Don't really know much about the game.

I'm currently a few hours into Odyssey and really like it so far. Going for a full stealth build as Kassandra.
I went through (and loved) Unity, Syndicate, and Origins. Once I finish Odyssey, I'm going through the Desmond saga (1, 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, III Remastered).
I've actually never played Brotherhood or Revelations, so I'm excited to play them. And I remember not liking III too much when I played it on release, but I'm giving it another chance.

I liked Fallout 3 even though I like New Vegas more. One thing 3 has going for it is Point Lookout. It's easily my favorite DLC expansion out of any between 3,4, and NV.

Metro Last Light is a real stunner graphics wise. In handheld mode it looks downright incredible. The story puts the Reich as the main antagonist as opposed to the Dark Ones in 2033. My only issue so far is the same I had with the predecessor. The story moves too fast. It's not enough context in between segments so the storytelling feels a bit jarring and fragmented compared to the novel.
Other than that it's great. Very atmospheric and moody, nice gameplay and terrific graphics. The lighting is really impressive. Love these kinda storydriven fps. Metroid Prime, Metro, Bioshock. All classics.

Just finished my play through of AC:Ody with the DLC, went stealth Kass and it ended up about 140 hours on the In game timer. Enjoyed it all, but man it was a beast. I actually replayed the Desmond saga sans 3 this past Christmas, So I kinda went the opposite of you!

Dayum I had no idea Odyssey was that long. I think I finished the main story of Origins in like 35 hours. I'm probably 6 hours in, so I have a lot to do lol.
Yeah I just picked up AC 1 and the ezio collection so I'm set. I haven't played AC 1 since 2007, so I'm really excited to try it again. I just really love the setting. Even watching that original e3 2006 trailer is perfection.

TBF, some of that time is idleing, and I did just about everything in the game! I cleaned the map, and also rarely rode a horse! But it is way bigger than origins. Going back to AC1 I was super impressed by how good it looked on XB1X BC. Game hasn't really aged at all

after beating FFVIIR last month, I finally decided to continue my boring quest to finally finiionw of the games I left when kid. Chrono trigger. Attempted many times after that but somehow always something came up.
but now at last commited to it for 38hrs, and finished.
definitely the best part is at the last quarter of the game where you get you know what that lets you you know where and the side quests. but other than that unfortunately in terms of story had nothing as extraordinary as I expected.

Finished Mario Odyssey.
What a confusing game. By almost any standard I couldn't give this game below a 9/10 and yet I wouldn't recommend it at all. Every world has something new, the controls feel really tight, the difficulty sans most of the boss fights is good, secrets galore and yet.... It feels empty sometimes even tedious. It looks like it has soul but is soulless at the same time
It's such a bizarre experience I've never felt this way about a game before...so yeah, 9/10 wouldn't recommend playing it.

I see there is quite some interest for Assassin's creed in this thread lately.
Myself I decided to give a try at the serie this year (Almost did the jump when Origins released and now Valhalla got me pretty hyped). I've done Assassin's Creed I last month and just finished AC II.

I was now tempted to redo a Demon's Souls run because of hype for the remake, but Assassin's Creed franchise got me hooked much more than I thought.
A friend of mine lend me ACII, Brotherhood, Revelations, III and Black Flag on PS3. I wanted to try the serie but was thinking I'll do just some of them... But after the 2 first, I now want to play every games...
So I'll now go for Brotherhood.

Been busy trying out various demo from the Steam Summer event.
The Wild at Heart was a fun little demo. It's a pikmin-type game with a unique and beautiful art-style. You basically collect these spritelings which come in various elemental forms and interact with different environments (like nature based twiglings can interact with toxic mushrooms, while emberlings can interact with scorched obstacles. The main character can also use his vacuum ability to interact with the environment and in battle. Battles involve throwing these spritelings at enemies along with your player character also attacking if you want. The game also has crafting, and an okay story (so far).
Overall, it was a nice little demo. Throwing the spritelings into battle reminded me of how Ni no Kuni monsters worked, but I preferred that a little more since each monster was unique and you could create a unique party for combat. Would love if spritelings had sort of a king spriteling with specialisation in battle (like Defence tank, Attack DPS, Magic, etc.)

If you dig Oath in Felghana you should try Ark of Napishtim or Origins. If you want something more recent you should check out the latest Ys, Lacrimosa of Dana. Ys is a great series, very consistent in quality.
