Hmmm, that would would be just an optional size choice right? 2TB mandatory wouldn't make it $399 by any means.

1, This was already posted
2, The price is silly
3, The SSD size is an impossibility due to the 12-channels/chips.

Apart from the fact retail won't be given details until after Sony reveal the price/date. Probably only a handful of people at Sony that even know.

There's pretty much no way a > 825GB model is coming out any time soon.

People thinking random retailers in random countries are given the scoop on Sony stuff is hilarious to me lol

It's portions of gameplay edited together into a video.

I wouldn't call it a fake gameplay demo either.
Did i imply somewhere that it was fake? I wouldn't say i did. Gameplay trailer with expert cuts or Directors' cut, it doesn't really matter. What matters is that sony showed it, that's what's important.

It's what I was assuming that Hendrick's Hendrick's was trying to say.

I understand what they showed wasn't a guy playing the game with a controller in his hand but it will actually look that way. Afterall it was captured off a PS5.

Id rather deal with the upgrade myself via external SSD and then internal add on when the NVM hit the needed speed.

During the first year I probably wont fill up the internal. Swapping between drives should be pretty fast anyway.

SSD manufacturers know very well there will be a high demand for high performance SSD's which are fully compatible with the PS5, my guess is they are working hard as we speak to make sure they launch them in time for the PS5 or within months of the release.

A 2TB drive wouldn't even be possible on PS5 would it?

I would assume that the sizes would stay "unusual" even as they moved up in size, due to stripping across the 12 channels.

Double 1,650GB, doubled again at 3,300GB and so on.

let's look carefully at this slide and interestingly note the specific 4 texture unit or ray ops, this means that the gpu to use raytracing sacrifices 2 cores or even 1 in order not to sacrifice the calculation of the textures for management, so here is 2 x series accounts without active raytracing and 4 texture units for a total of 208 tmu and so far everything nice, but as soon as you turn on the ray tracing it has only 104 with 2 inhabited cores and 156 tmu with 1 rt core enabled, nn is nice for the quality of the textures , i believe that ps5 with the 144 tmu does not adopt the same settings cerny cannot afford to sacrifice half of the tmu for raytracing, the options are 2, or ps5 with rt cores separated to the CUs or inside the cu to implemented 6 tmu, 2 di these for raytracing

I remember there was a time when the PS5 wasn't even supposed to be RDNA1. This is all so confusing.

Yeah, honestly I'm not that good at understanding the whole specs scenario. I just know that this will be a big leap to anything we've had before. And if we don't see it right away with launch titles, then for sure down the road. That's why I don't mind spending for both Consoles. Somewhere down the line we'll have something great.

The onboard SSD is 825GB and that's it. However, what about a preloaded NVMe M.2 drive which Sony has validated?

Honestly not sure; can't really find hard info on when the 7G/second drives will actually hit the market... while it's been several months, Cerny indicated not to expect a list of drives at launch.

But being able to buy a 3rd party drive vs. it making sense for Sony to market and sell a larger model are 2 different things. I wouldn't expect that for quite a while from Sony.
