Well, what that article described is exactly what's happening. BOM on that same article was never disputed by anyone also, instead only quoted as source.
And talking about good reading materials, I do remember a few days ago where you told me that DF had "a video where namely John from DF was talking about what Devs were telling him behind the scenes and they did not want this machine", regarding the xbox S.
I spend a good three hours searching that day, only to find out that it was completely irrelevant.

while I was telling this to people when microsoft was on radio silence, I was getting every kind of flak.
so it is only reasonable for me to point this out now, when the pieces have fallen.
also, another truth is that all ps exclusive guys owe a thank you to microsoft, because by a) pricing X so reasonable and b) offering the S at 299,
they sure as hell made sony climb down on their pricing by at least a hundred bucks

Me too but I'm leaning towards the disc one if it's not too expensive. Reason being for this gen, I've spent a lot on digital PS4 games that I ended up rebuying on Steam when I got a PC. I really should just buy the Blu-rays next-gen and sell them on and then pick up the PC versions when they get cheap.

imo they will have to model the price of at least one console between the two xboxes.

Depends on the cross gen game.
Some developers do cross gen better than others. But it is true that current gen systems can hold next gen systems back with their vastly inferior CPUs and I/Os. That goes for Kena as well but thankfully it looks fine for a cross gen title.
