Demon's Souls has a 4k30 mode
Series S wouldn't be able to run Demon's Souls at 2k60. It's 2.5x less powerful than PS5 so we're looking at 900p60
I have doubts about XSS running Demon's Souls at 900P/60fps even with reduced texture quality (only 8GB available RAM). Polygon count could be a problem since XSS GPU seems to have only one shader engine (two shader arrays) so it has only half as many rasterization/primitive blocks compared to PS5. Additionally XSS's GPU clock speed is 35% slower. So the actual rasterization performance is around 135% slower on XSS.

Wait, Destiny is lagged like that in Xbox One X?

The menus on PS4 are very smooth and not like the right gif.
Or the site is slowing down the animation?

The Destiny 2 BC testimonial confirms less framedrops that past gen, but still capped at 30. Was totally hoping for frames being doubled. If MS did it, there could have been a chance for Sony to do it too....now goodbye sweet prince.

Bungie is releasing a patch though!

While Bungie has committed to enhancing Destiny 2 for the Xbox Series X and PS5 with 60fps support, it already feels faster without the patch.

Destiny 2 is getting a free update for next gen consoles at launch to run at 4k/60 with additional graphical enhancements. Probably PC Ultra settings.

Very few people outside the corners of the internet care about console wars.

BC games. Non-optimized. I feel like this discussion has been brought up numerous times for the last year.

Yup, there is no way (from a technical perspective) a next gen game will take that long to load.

What's happening, why are there so many different XSX load times.... Example one will say FF15 will load at 51 seconds someone else reports it loads in 38 seconds 🤔

am i missing something, those load times are fucking disgusting?

I am confused that is way way way more than i thought it would be.

This is just untouched BC game differences. Which are nice. I just don't understand why Microsoft didn't supply a small demo showing a game fully using the SSD?

Those load times are better but highly disappointing, what the fuck? More than a minute in some games. What in the actual fuck lol.

I was really expecting something like 10-20 seconds MAX for both consoles.

Anyway loading times in current gen games will be way more important.

You are missing something, because every preview is saying the load times are amazing.

The load times showed are really pretty bad but they will say it is because it is old BC games and nobody will ask why they are not showing new games...

Yes, I'm aware, that's great news. I was more referring to BC framerate enhancement in a general sense tho, which is a shame.

Bungie already confirmed D2 will run at 60fps once the Beyond Light update hits Nov 10.

Nvm saw your previous post :messenger_smiling:

I am sorry i don't find this amazing

Red Dead Redemption 252 seconds1 min, 35 seconds

If they do they good for them. 52 seconds of waiting around, on a next-gen console for an older game,

I was expecting something much much lower, this is awful, i am sorry.

Where is all this velocity architecture bullshit, the power of the ssd and 12 tflops nonsense

Is this it.

Wow,

i am beyond disappointed.

You're in for a rough time, if you think an SSD will magically make your games load 20 times faster (or whichever number you think is impressive).

They all seem to be doing the same tests at the moment. Have they got some mandate/script to follow?

They were limited to testing BC and load times.

Where are these from? Some of these are really shit, are they legit?

Cool preview. A lot of stuff we already knew from Microsoft themselves, but nice that it is being verified by media outlets. Those faster load times for BC games are nice, expect PS5 to be even faster, but the performance of the games... Steady 60fps, and auto-HDR.

Yeah, I don't think you understand how BC works. These games weren't build for the XSX. Do you expect the PS5 to load RDR2 in 10sec maybe? Because if so, please say this now. What do you expect from the PS5?
