I have a PS5 Pre Order @Amazon but I can't afford it right now... What should I do?

I pre ordered the $500 version at amazon, but since I gotta import it, I would end up paying twice as much with fees, shipping and taxes, since I'll send it to Brazil...

I thought that I'd have the money for it before the release date, but I had to help a friend with some money, so I won't be able to get it, at launch...

Maybe I'll order one here in december, so I really don't know what to do with the pre order...

Any thoughts?

PS. this is what the console would cost if I import it:

PS5 Price
US$ 500,00

US Taxes
US$ 40,00

Traveller's Reward
US$ 283,79

Grabr Taxes
US$ 28,37

Payment proccess
US$ 34,32

Why do you need it now? You don't. So cancel it. It'll be there next year and with more games than demon's souls.

If you cannot afford it, Cancel that shit. No one should ever jeopardize their finances for a fucking video game console. They aren't going anywhere.

There's nothing you will be able to play at launch that you won't be able to play in a few months when you have the money.

Apply for an Amazon Visa credit card and make payments.

Get a second job

"In 2005, Ken Kutaragi, the Father of the PlayStation, talked about consumers working more, just so they could afford his upcoming console. According to Kutaragi, said the PS3 is "for consumers who think to themselves 'I will work more hours to buy one'. We want people to feel that they want it, irrespective of anything else." Anyone get a second job to pay for theirs? "

FYI they just cut the price of buying a PS5 in Brazil, you might wanna look that up.

If you're confident you'll have the cash, get an interest free 12 months credit card and bang it on that.
If you're not, cancel preorder
If you want to carry risk, try scalping.

So you preorderd it in the USA and you new it would be expensive to let ship it to Brazil...why the heck did you not preorder it on Amazon Brasil?

The physical version costs around $800 here.

In this grabr service, with a fair traveller, i'd pay around $680 with all taxes, so these extra $120 woulf pay for spider-man and demon souls :D

Start a GoFundMe, I'm sure plenty here would donate.

You can't always get what you want.
Glad you helped your "friend" now tell him this story

I don't know if I can transfer a pre order to a gaffer that wasn't able to pre order it, but I'd be glad to do so!

It would take a lot of trust on both ends, but request the payment ahead of time and change the shipping address. The money goes out of your account with no loss and it's shipped to the right place. Otherwise cancel it until you can afford it.

Cancel it or talk to someone who is looking for a PS5 and let them buy it. You can have it shipped direct to them.

Do not live beyond your means or take on unnecessary debt, especially credit card debt. I feel for your position, but there are better days ahead. Stay strong.

I would recommend you cancel the order and wait until you can afford it. Act responsibly, and have some patience, it is the mature thing to do.

Meh, skip it for a year or two.

I'm not getting it for a while because it only had cross gen and remakes.

If you have money problems, XSS might be a good budget idea, assuming you have a 1080p TV. Get games for free on Gamepass and just better economically in general.

If you're a "Fanboy" just keep the PS4 for an extra year or two like I said above.

Dont know where you live or if you have the time or ability but when I was younger and I needed cash. I would grab a few trash bags and head around town collecting cans and turn them in for a nickel a piece. It doesn't sound like much but if you know your surrounding area and where to look. (espescially if you have kids that drink in your town) you could easily make a couple hundred a week on average and more during certian times of the year.

There's seriously a problem if someone value a console over being able to have a home and food on the table.
