And what does this prove, the ineptitude of the developer? They somehow managed a lower data throughput with a significantly faster SSD-I/O subsystem. Achievement unlocked. Joke aside it's blatantly obvious that they didn't even dare to touch PS5's I/O complex. It's pretty well known at this point that it burns and curses the third party developer who tries to code for it.

Pretty much. Out of nowhere, SSD speed was the new war.
As soon as the SSDs were announced it became a primary battleground
And by the looks of it, PS5's SSD which is more than double the speed of Series S/X (and possibly even more gimped as that thread said its PCE 3.0 or whatever), and it turns out S/X loads faster in all these game tests people are doing the past week more than half the time.
Give it a bit of time, and you'll see the whole PS5 has 5.5 gb/s (or 20+ decompressed)!!! feature disappear. It's week one and it's already shown it's no better than Xbox's 2.4gb/s SSD for games.

I'd be careful making judgements on launch games. That goes for the Series X GPU power, and the PS5's SSD.
We need time, a wide variety of games to be seen (could basketball be easier to load?), and more importantly, more games really working with, and optimized for these systems.
Nonetheless, a shockingly good show for the Series X. Nobody expected this. I welcome faster-than-N64 (check out NBA Courtside) loading wherever I find it.

NBA Live and 2k have always had terrible animations/physics correlation.
In football and hockey games it looks more natural.
Probably due to basketball games have players standing, strafing and pivoting so much. But the players always have that weird way of moving, but their feet actually glides and warps on the court a half foot here or there.

That will take a lot of effort to perfect IMO. I don't expect next gen sports games to have the best animation in the business.
