PlayStation (as publisher) leads The Game Awards with 22 nominations

7 years of GOTY nominees. Not a single Microsoft game.

(And no they don't get to count Bethesda games, Xbox had nothing to do with these games and the games are multi-platform.)

This is why no one should buy an Xbox. All of these games can be played with a PS4 and a Switch (except for Hearthstone.)

Neither a pc

To be honest the one that stands out from that list is Supergiant keeping up with big corporations and mostly games with much higher budgets

Please. The Video Game Awards voting is as reliable as US elections (Oh snap, politics burn).

This guy is pure aural AIDS but a broken clock is wrong twice a day.

These awards are basically "Keighly fluffing his friends and securing his EXCLUSIVE SCOOPS for the next year".

Is Demon's Souls ineligible because it is a remake or something, because it's completely lacking across all categories, which should not be happening.

And Demons Souls was robbed

Almost no November releases were nominated due to the voting being earlier in the year.

Many people who voted probably did not play it yet. The judges are not supposed to vote for games they have not played. And each media outlet only gets 1 vote as a unified entity, not each writer voting individually.

Doesn't take away from how great Demon's Souls remake is.

Well deserved, but it has been weird to don't see Demon's Souls there. Maybe because the launch games didn't have time to be included there, even if Morales made the cut.

I think they should made the GOTY awards on January to cover all the year to cover games released from January to December because they are called game of the year, so should be games released that year.
demon's souls can't compete this year.
They why Miles Morales is there? Weren't they released the same day?

PS has had some killer games this year with Persona 5 Royal, Final Fantasy VII, and Ghost of Tsushima all being exclusive. Only one of those is a first party title. Sony certainly serves credit for Ghost and it is definitely worthy of a nomination in several categories.

This is all about TLOU 2 though. It makes up the majority of the nominations for Sony and is incredibly divisive. I think this is really down to whether or not you think it is a game worthy of that many nominations.

Congrats to Kenichiro Yoshida, his family, Sony (Including it's subsidiaries), shareholders, and more importantly, the loyal Playstation owners of NeoGaf.
