Here you can have an opinion of your own, you just may need to explain it sometimes.
The more I think about it, the most dangerous thing about Resetera is the hypocrisy. It (being a cult as I have stated many a time, and not a cool bring the stars into alignment cult...just a cliche brainwashing cult) trains people to close their minds and hate. They are a hate group and should be treated as such.
You can see it daily in post after post.
They do not want to change the world for the better. That requires understanding and communication and Era immediately silences any open thought that opposes its hive mind.
From politics to social issues, it is our way or die. Quite literally as the only death threats you can make freely on Era are against those they are opposed to as a whole.
Nothing is ever good enough, people are not allowed to learn from experience or grow.
Yet the sheep stay. So damned desperate for communication and acceptance that they cower every time they hit the reply button not knowing if it will rub someone the wrong way.
Here there are some assholes, even a few low lifes but mostly it is just people who want to talk about cool shit and do not judge others unless someone says something stupid.
There is a reason that Era demonizes Gaf as much as it does, because there is a home here and honestly yes even a safe space for anyone who just wants to bullshit about video games or movies or anything else out there.
I do hope more and more start to see this.
