they do look gross but doesn't bother me. been eating them since i was a kid.

there isn't much taste off them tbh. obviously a bit salty and depending on how they were caught can be a bit gritty but if you wash them they are fine. i put a bit of vineger on them. also, you need to pick the "eye" off them. if you miss that then it gets stuck in your teeth. can't chew them. some crabs crawl into the shells so need to look out for them too

The very best is the ventresca, or tuna belly. Order a can from amazon, Ortiz Ventresca. You will never look at canned tuna the same way again, and you will probarly started a new expensive habit..
