Sony is removing Cyberpunk from PlayStation Store

To delay a game once is carefulness. To delay a game thrice is carelessness.

Maybe if they didn't set over-optimistic release windows, there would be enough time to get rid of bugs before release? You know, like EVERY GODDAMN PUBLISHER DID BEFORE DEVS COULD RELEASE SHIT AND FIX IT LATER. Your code is not part of a Cinderella story. It will not turn into a pumpkin if you don't publish it before some arbitrary date.

This excuse infuriates me. For one, it's usually only uttered by millenials and zoomers who don't understand that this is not normal, or acceptable. Those of us that grew up before digital distribution understand that releasing broken shit at launch is a fairly new phenomenon on consoles. You had one shot, maybe two if you were lucky with a reprint, and that's what everyone had for all time.

For two, it's white knighting corporations. And doing that alone is bad enough, but doing that with this game? Fuck.

Fuckin white knights shit me.

The nerve of those gamers, demanding a working product. How fucking dare they!
You are way too obsessed with media, dude. Maybe take up a less stressful hobby like dirtbiking.

But the thing is that those games work when released except for Bethesda. If Rockstar can get RDR2 to run well on base consoles with all that detail plus the complex AI with NPCs then CPDR has no excuse.

but they are games that...dont push anything . so it doesn't matter if they "work". at least in my mind lol I'll play a buggy half life 3 over a perfectly working assassins creed any day of the fucking week. bc it'll still be the better game.

CDPR actually tries to put some of their heart into it, hand writes each quest, tries to make the best game ever made each time and they are one dev and a smaller studio that doesn't own other studios.
You think their heart was in it when they were hiding console game footage from reviewers and consumers? You think their heart was in it when they sent millions of people to get a refund from Sony and Microsoft without even discussing it with Sony and Microsoft?

Damnnnnnnnn............. was too busy trying to get the Demon Souls plat that I missed on this fresh.

Jim trying to make an example..... NICE! Shit is not acceptable.

+1 pt on the balance sheet after the several negatives with the "we believe in generations" BS.

me either tbh. i thought of this too lol

people happy with the umteenth souls redesign, the umteenth assassins creed, the umteenth bethesda game, far cry, etc

this whole hate bandwagon, imo, is worse for gaming than thinking you're taking a stand against bugs.

say goodbye to ambition. we're even less likely to get it now lol
Fuck ambition if it means that the developer hides the performance of their game to manipulate and deceive their fan base.

Buggy is one thing but it is unplayable on the base consoles it is being sold for. 15 FPS is just not acceptable. Even on my X Box one x when the action ramps up or I drive fast the game breaks. It wasn't so bad at first but the more you progress in the game the worse it gets. I am all for games taking chances. I am one of the biggest TLOU2 fans on here but games should be playable.

Aren't the next gen version better in terms of stability? Or maybe next gen is just as buggy.

What they could do is keep the next gen versions alive on PSN.

Oh well. That's what happens when game companies need to hit that Christmas rush, and combined with probably 90% of gamers hooked up to the net. The good old..... "don't worry gamers, just download the patch"

Nah its full of bugs and crashes often but at 60fps lol

Hdr is fucked too

Yes, they were very ambitious... with their corporate greed, to release such an unfinished buggy poor performing game.

It looks great on PC, no doubt, I hope PS5 version is also good.

Or you can relax and worry about bigger things in life? Or do you really think it's normal to be freaking out over a $70 peice of media?

Consumerism has you brainwashed hard, dude

Many people like you need to take a step back from video games and pick up other hobbies and skillsets. Maybe guitar? Dirtbiking? Lots of cool stuff that doesn't make you want to bitch on the internet all day.

Just sayin'

You could just as easily call out Cyberpunk as a bog standard open world game.

bog standard is procedural fetch quests, with limited rpg systems, no choice, and poor weapon/loot variation.

open world RPG's break down into this: quests (this is the heart, without good quests the game is bad), gameplay, rpg systems (are enemies/weapons leveled? is there something to progress to?) , side quests, and weapon variation (makes sure that there is always new things to discover)

cyberpunk is superior to it's open world rpg counter parts in creative and well written quest content.

it's not radiant or procedural like most of the games.

the gameplay mechanics are much better than outerworlds and fallout and deus ex, and the quests/missions also.

side quests shit on these games. simple as that.

weapon variation is stronger than it's bethesda counterparts by far.

leveling, CDPR always makes sure to not make the game level with you, giving you incentive to actually level your character.

so with that all laid out, how is it standard open world RPG. when most don't get those tenants right? ESPECIALLY quests.

You tell me, you're the one who thinks purchasing it is a human right and a storefront pulling it from sale equates to an infringment of your freedoms or something.

And if you think yelling at devs who basically fraudulently market their product is "freaking out", you are unclear on the definition of anger.

Stop bothering me, please. I didn't reply to your last comment for a reason.

LOL, let's try this one.

Ford's new SVU runs very well on brand new roads but the wheels fall off on gravel roads. Don't complain though because Ford is just trying to be ambitious.

CDPR- from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. Goddamn I wonder how much money they are going lose
Ironically, not much. They sold enough presales as to cover expenses several times. They bragged about it. Still, they destroyed their reputation forever.

Their stock is gonna tank like a fucking whale jumping off a skyscraper tomorrow.

it's time for cdpr to close it's doors. fire everyone. the dream is dead. the cinderella story of a polish developer whose founders were born poor in communist poland was nice but now it's over. america and arasaka can't let a piss poor eastern europe country claim the gaming crown. this smear campaign is unprecedented and they are using media and gamers like sheep.
welcome to the new age of gaming everyone bend the knee to the outrage cancel culture. goodbye to the polish gaming industry.

This is definitely political I think.

Kinda convienient that this game was attacked up to its release for refusing to take the bait from the crazies on Twitter and now that it is out and controversial, they have a legit excuse to not support the game or its developers and have it actually stick.

Plus those crazies on Twitter have such loud voices and these corporations bend ass backwards to their demands and every whim to save face. I would really not be surprised if one of those purple haired Twitter goblins helped pull the right strings to get this authorized and approved.

With all the refunds though, they will be giving lots of that money back.

demon souls isn't doing anything groundbreaking, i mean...it's fine and safe. but it's nothing anyone needs to play....lets be honest. especially since it's a remake of a game we've already played.

it's not that "next thing". it's a souls game....not even trying to hate but thats what it is. like if i showed my non gaming dad demon souls, he'd get bored. Cyberpunk he actually was hella impressed with even as someone who doesn't play. that says...something.

TLOU2...Cyberpunk is more interesting than TLOU2. I think thats the case for...most people. hence why TLOU2 didn't generate nearly the excitement this did. and that was a naughtydog game.

im not gonna stop playing this game, for those games. you can have fun with that though, seems same old to me. but maybe you like that?
cyberpunk is not doing anything ground breaking either. that is part of the reason why the game has underwhelming reviews and mixed reactions. .

because it simply didn't live up to the hype for people.

you can keep playing and enjoying it, that is fine i am glad you're doing that, but the general consensus is that it's not the masterpiece people hoped!

Everytime you respond to me, you throw words in my mouth and you jump to conclusions a ton. I want to argue but what am I supposed to say? That you're misconstructing my post and my point and fitting your own narrative into it?

Seriously dude. Take a step back from the screen.

well that would cause people to die, so quite the difference. this is more like it has the most advanced and fast gps system that we've seen but every now and then the voice doesn't work, or it doesn't turn on, on start up. but they are firmware updating it as we speak

and once again, we're talking about a video game where your textures load slow sometimes...

this is an artistic creation/hobby, so its more like a Scorsese movie freezing 8 times, and because f that saying it's as good as that b level crime show on abc, because the show runs perfectly.

when artistically any director would still be able to tell the scorsese film is better

No, no one gave a shit about that.

It has nothing to do with it. A new GTA could come out tomorrow and it could be as un pc as ever while offending everybody and it would still be a success. That is because 99% chance at least it would be playable and well designed.

Some people are going to think this means the game is terrible and it isn't. It was simply released a half year too soon. They need to make this a next generation only game. Move on from the lesser consoles.

I doubt it. It takes them a long ass time to release a new game. By the time their next game comes out, Cyberpunk will be patched to hell and back again, with rave reviewed DLC. They'll talk about how they let the fans down and will work harder, and every one will believe them because people love getting hyped for new games.

its getting those reviews because of the performance primarily....otherwise it wouldn't even be at an 87. that is a fact.

and most of the tings people "hoped" for was derived from a misunderstanding of what the game even is

I asked nicely. *plonk*

IDK I'd say releasing in an unplayable state on half the platforms it was intended for counts as "terrible" for all reasonable definitions of terrible.

The refund page must be crashing because I keep on pressing the link and nothing happens. I am still holding on to my X Box digital version just in case.

You obviously have not been keeping up with GTA 6 gaming news. Rockstar/Take Two has undergone fundamental work environment changes since the release of RDR2. Plus Dan Houser is long gone.

I think there is a pretty good chance that GTA 6 is not going to be the GTA we all love.
