a miserable pile of secretsWhat's covid?
December was by far the deadliest month so far, I have no idea where you’re getting your info but it’s incorrectA lot more cases in the official counts, but far less deaths. Hospitalizations are also decreasing.
It's literally people getting sick for a week with a fever and cough, during flu season.
Hospital I work at are literally getting 70 ER visits a day..we had to open an old unused unit for more ER beds..A lot more cases in the official counts, but far less deaths. Hospitalizations are also decreasing.

What dumbfuck country does OP live in? Earth to moron the whole world has to deal with this bullshit. Go fuck off dipshit. I’m sorry you want to troll about dumb movies or whatever go ahead but this is peoples lives you asshole.
I was just looking at the numbers and was blown away. You’re getting hundreds of thousands of people infected each day. And this is with lockdowns and masks? Wat
It's become heavily politicized. I go from one county to another to work, from a deep blue county to a deep red one. The difference is huge in terms of mask compliance. A giant chunk of the country thinks it is their patriotic duty to not wear masks to express their freedom.I was just looking at the numbers and was blown away. You’re getting hundreds of thousands of people infected each day. And this is with lockdowns and masks? Wat
there is 300 million of us... last I heard we had 18 million cases? Hell at this rate we will be on lockdowns and mask for 10 years.I was just looking at the numbers and was blown away. You’re getting hundreds of thousands of people infected each day. And this is with lockdowns and masks? Wat
its weird, no one is getting sick with any other type of illness
Says who?
You should really take your pills, mate. What dumbfuck country does OP live in? Earth to moron the whole world has to deal with this bullshit. Go fuck off dipshit. I’m sorry you want to troll about dumb movies or whatever go ahead but this is peoples lives you asshole.
How do you like the people replying to your stupid "its just a flu bro" comments?A lot more cases in the official counts, but far less deaths. Hospitalizations are also decreasing.

Just look at the data man, I don't know what to tell you. If you want to pretend that it's melting skin off everyone's faces just to justify your fear, go right ahead. How do you like the people replying to your stupid "its just a flu bro" comments?

Looking at the data based on hundreds of millions of data points is not “underestimating”Like i said...
You keep underestimating this disease..
And all these death... this is the price we have to pay...
Trying to suppress a virus that puts (thousands) of people in hospital and kills (thousands) some of the most vulnerable population is nothing to do with fear, it's to do with not being a completely psychotic arsehole.Just look at the data man, I don't know what to tell you. Perhaps you can share us about these "covid is just a flu data" that you speak ofLooking at the data based on hundreds of millions of data points is not “underestimating”

That would be helpfull
In the context of COVID nearly all of them are.Young ppl just dont give a shit. They just go around thinking they are invincible.

The problem with that is you still have the possibility of contamination from health workers and family members, unless you also lockdown just health workers and stop people seeing their families.Seems like the sane thing to do would be to protect those most vulnerable populations and get them the targeted aid they need instead of crippling the economy and ruining people's lives with sweeping and indefinite lockdowns and restrictions.

I'm not pro lockdown, I am pro not throwing sections of the community to the wolves.Shutting down the entire country or entire regions does not work. Making healthy people suffer and lose their livelihoods because there's a possibility of spreading to grandma if other people are irresponsible is not a sane policy.
Would have been great if the aid had been targeted and the "most vulnerable" could have been better protected, but that was never in the cards.

My relatives in the US caught it. They're in their 70s. Very mild symptoms. It's very hard to draw any conclusions from the published stats when 1. They're incomplete (e.g. if testing increases, you're gonna have more cases, but I didn't see any metrics for how much testing was being done); 2. There is an atypically high variance in symptoms; 3. The left has history of crying wolf and messing with statistics; 4. The media has been caught lying repeatedly for years.
The people dismissing the skeptics should be more understanding.
That is with no one taking any precautions. Imagine if no one from the start of pandemic was taking precautions then the deaths and cases would have been higher. Comparing apples to oranges over here. You can't even account for the loss to patients of other diseases, my friend's mum has cancer but the doctor advised to skip treatments due to the precautions and how the hospitals are full, I imagine similar case in US and that too with other diseases too.Going to be interesting to see where the total all cause death numbers pans out after everything is said and done. Here's the current data from the US CDC (population number if pulled from elsewhere).
Year: Total All Cause Deaths / Total Population
2020: 2,913,144 / 331,000,000
2019: 2,854,838 / 328,000,000
2018: 2,839,205 / 327,000,000
2017: 2,813,503 / 325,000,000
2016: 2,744,248 / 323,000,000
2015: 2,712,630 / 320,000,000
2014: 2,626,418 / 318,000,000
2013: 2,596,993 / 316,000,000
