He agrees and goes to an empty parking lot with no witnesses
Becomes shocked that person is trying to punch and hurt him in a fist fight
Refuses to fight back because self defense "looks bad"
Calls cops
Cops arrive but other person says they didn't fight
OP somehow has no proof that a fight took place besides a limp after the other person "Puched, slapped, kicked, etc." to him but apparently let no marks or swelling or anything visible????
Cops shrug shoulders and say maybe next week they'll call him to figure out what to do next
