Damn, that's terrible news to hear. She helped make Babylon 5 such an incredible show. I was planning a rewatch of the series soon, might have to move it up my list now with this news. RIP

Sad to hear. I watched all of B5 a few months ago for third time. What a show, with Mira being one of the MVPs. A great character with grace and dignity.

RIP. She portrayed one of the best characters in B5 and did it well.

I'm gonna have to go through the show again one of these days. Been too long since I rewatched it.

That was sad to read. It's hard to see so many people from my childhood pass on.

Very sad to hear this. Babylon 5 is one of the best TV works and the actors, working in a very lo budget environment, played an important role into delivering the brilliant writing.

wow. RIP. definitely a show i followed in the 90s and early 2000s. i really wanted a HD remaster of this entire series.

It won't be remastered, but WB is releasing the series on Blu-Ray this year.

It's likely using the HD versions streaming on Amazon and iTunes, which JMS says is the best quality available.

This really sucks. She was awesome, as were the whole cast. It was a great and underrated show compared to its peers at the time. I've got to try and find a Blu-Ray set here.

Mira Furlan, Jerry Doyle, Andreas Katsulas, Stephen Furst, Richard Biggs and Michael O'Hare. Good lord. A lot of people that made a low budget, heavy (aged really poorly) CGI using, sometimes beyond ridiculous story-line having Science Fiction series Babylon 5 still very watchable and extremely enjoyable. They were amazing actors that worked magic with their characters that was too good to be true, but it was.

Yeah the CGI is plentiful and almost horrifying to look at from a neutral perspective, but I never really minded it all from the first run of the series. It gave the series a bit of charm to it in my opinion. I still have the entire series on burned DVD's on a spindle and a DVD player ready and waiting to go. I can binge watch that show for dozens of hours still.

Mira Furlan is the latest Babylon 5 legend to pass away and the world is honestly less bright than it was with her among us. Also, it's heart breaking to know that at 65, she was the longest lived Babylon 5 regular cast member at the time of her death. Biggs - 44, Doyle - 60, O'Hare - 60, Jeff Conway - 60, Furst - 63, and now Mira at 65. Considering how long people live on average in first world countries, they all passed away at relatively young ages. Biggs was still young very young himself. That's depressing to know.

Maybe my favourite sci-fi show ever, but it seems cursed. So many cast members have passed before their time.
