if you are dirt poor, you probably dont owe any taxes.

they are using the same exact criteria trump used. its still based on your 2019 filing status. you will get the full refund.

I don't take out federal and pay at the end. It hasn't burned me until this year. The cost is most of the stimulus check.

It's interesting in being able to see directly how much I am paying in versus how much I am getting back. The net gain of the stimulus, in that light, is pretty minimal.
 
I'll prob get mine late again since I owe every year and my bank accnt isn't on file. Though I expect to get around 8-9k I think. I used all the last stimulus as a down payment to rip up carpet and put down lvp for my upstairs, this is going to go towards paying off some debt and putting up a new fence outside. Glad it's going into small businesses and not Amazon and shit

IRS says mine will be deposited tomorrow. I spent half the amount on stocks last week and am spending the other half having a tree in my yard cut down next week. I hate that tree and can't wait until it is gone.

I'm gonna say that there's gotta be a second wave of deposits. IRS tracker still says no information for me... I did get the last $600 though.
 
i got the last two but the irs website says i'm not eligible or they don't have enough info yet. i didn't file my 2020 returns yet and my bank accnt isn't on file since i owe every year. looks like at best i'll be getting a delayed paper check
 
I'm finally getting mine. But it says it'll be mailed on the 26th. Does that mean they're SENDING it then or it'll ARRIVE then?
 
Got my deposit today. Kind of amazing how it's been a whole year and the total stimulus has been less than 4k. Think about that, millions of people had to live off 4k for a year. A one in a century disaster and the fuckers couldn't be bothered.

If last year teaches you anything, it should be that nobody should depend on the government. Even given a one in a lifetime crisis they do not care.

Because they're beholden to big business. Giving people a recurring allotment each month would have been somehow bad for them... So the Dems stalled, Republicans balked... And so we have this.
 
Got our 7k last week (paper check bc I owe every year). Was still surprised how early it came given my bank isn't on file with them and I haven't done my 2020 taxes yet. I hired a local company to put up a good vinyl fence since our wooden one keeps breaking and a chain fence for the dogs. Out of pocket is now 1k so not bad. Thanks Obama.
 
I got mine on 3/24. That's good.

What is strange though is it was direct deposited... and I've never given the irs my bank info.

I tend to owe small amounts to the irs at tax time so I've never had a return direct deposited.

Last two stimuli were sent to me as a check and a card, respectively. Nothing has changed since then.

So I'm not complaining but I don't get it.
