Destiny 2 Shadowkeep (OT4) Free Stuff For Everybody!

Why didn't anyone tell me PVP is severely broken before i started playing this season? haha ... i am getting sniped by shotguns from across the map, one tapped by hand cannons non stop, Ikelos SMG kills me in .03 seconds, people no scope sniper one shotting our entire team in like 3 seconds,Titans seem basically invincible right now... wow i don't remember the game being this full on broken before.

I don't think it's too easy, I had a group that almost failed last night... It was bizarre. They seemed to not understand the mode.

I'm hoping for changes to the mechanics though, some variation in the gameplay

The mode is pretty fun, but would be WAY better if they increased enemy density. Battlegrounds had great enemy density and then they kinda dialed it back here.

Lol, PVP has been a flaming dumpster fire for a few seasons now. They did unnecessary nerfs to snipers even when nobody was using them along with trash CQC maps have made shottys the only special option. Stasis completely ruined the experience and everything now is catchup to the latest and greatest thing somebody broke in there. Damage increase perks may just need to go, or not be active in PVP. I mean, the entire HC nerf in D1 was to STOP guns being able to 2 tap you. Now there are 2 dozen different ways to pump the damage to do it here, on just plain legendary guns, it's downright embarrassing that Bungie is allowed to even call themselves a dev anymore with how shit they are at fixing their game. But I mean, as long as new cosmetics are ready to roll out every month they are doing something right....right?
 
So they were already selling the best looking armor as ornaments for $$$ and now they are monetising every single piece of armor in the game because who the hell is gonna farm a 100 hours for a god roll armor piece everytime when you can just take the first drop and open that wallet for a quick transmog, easy money.
Pretty typical for a F2P game though, oh wait... and people were worried about what Activision would do with the game lolz

Imagine how huge this game could have been if it had a solid pvp component, they'd have to be insane to leave all that cash on the table right? For them to let it to get this bad they must be making more money milking the pve kids dry than we can even imagine.

Also hearing other Destiny players talk about spending hours upon hours doing cringe shit like completing triumphs, titles and bounties even in game modes they HATE, it's no wonder Bungie doesn't give af anymore they've got it so easy. Don't get me started on farming for guns they will NEVER need or use, good lord.

I wish more people saw through Bungie in this way. Activision every expansion proves that what Bungie wanted is not what was best for the game and players, maybe their wallets cause the whales and hardcore that apparently can only buy 1 game a year just blow money in the cashshop like it's going to go under if they don't.

I can happily say that I haven't gone out of my way for a single triumph, and to be honest I think the time and energy they put into programming shit just for triumphs is a waste of time. The gameplay loop of the first game was as close to perfect as we were gonna see with having end game raids for groups, strikes with loot to chase for trios, and PVP that was 1000 times better then this shit.

I don't see any point in farming guns in this game. I got a guess a new Vanguard grenade launcher...in the energy slot where the last "pinnacle" weapon we got resides (and is 100 times better), so why would I want this trash? But hey 3 more legendary shards that have absolutely no value in this game.
 
The situation with "new" legendary weapons is interesting to me, they put out these new guns with negligible differences to the last one and your immediate reaction is who cares? what's the point?

This is where the content creators step in and start putting out hype videos for every single gun like it's the second coming, "50+ DEFEATS IN CRUCIBLE!!!" where they've been shooting plebs in the back in control and "MELTS STRIKE BOSSES" like that's some achievement, I don't blame them for this they're just trying to make money.

Anyway the videos go out and all of a sudden their followers are now compelled to grind their asses off to get the god roll on this new weapon they never knew they needed until they saw this magical video, before you know it they're showing their god roll to their friends in their Destiny sub-community on whatever site or forum and talking about how easy it was to get (lol) and how "it slaps in PVP" or "it's great for ad clear" how many times have we heard this crap? Hey presto that's another small destiny community with a reason to go grind for this new gun that they never needed to begin with. This shit spreads like wildfire from the initial hundreds of videos per weapon, to the followers, then to the friends of the followers, then to the friends of the friends of the followers. Everyone's just grinding this shit because they don't want to be the person that doesn't have it, it's more like a CULT than a fanbase at this point.

I wish this was as crazy as it sounds :messenger_tears_of_joy: but this is literally how the game works and Bungie knows how to play the game so well.
 
well, at least the yunlocked the Bleak Watcher aspect of the Warlock Stasis. now if only they can fix the /join function on Steam then it would be great. did went and try farming Hung Jury. got 2 after 6 or 7 runs, not too bad. one of them even has Box Breathing too.

The revised activity on moon, Now this is what I am talking about.
Unstoppable enemies brings some difficulty and completing whole activity without dying and under 12 mins is a fun challenge.
 
Well, against my better judgment I decided to give IB the ole college try. What a shitshow. Out of 7 games thus far, 5 of them were join in progress games. When is Bungle gonna learn to stop with these stupid ass "quests" for IB. It causes everybody to play like complete assholes since there is no purpose to win games or even finish matches in IB since it's not like IB shit actually dropped at the end of any matches I've played.

120s and Shottys are still way too strong, Stasis everywhere, and just left a lobby where it felt like every dude on the other team in a group that was sniping had 100% headshot accuracy, so either SBMM needs to return, or there are ways to cheat on console, cause I couldn't believe how many quickscopes were getting me with me not having any time to react. Either they gods, or cheats...and it's Destiny so I assume all that's left in crucible is the cheaters.
 
Most sweaty users are using Dead man tale hip firing sniping people from across the map. It's disgusting. I am not bothering with the quest either, just gonna play normal and wait for bounties to complete.

Yeah seen a few of those as well. How has Chaos Reach not been changed/nerfed? How is canceling your super after a kill and getting most of it back so you can use it 5+ times a PVP match fair? I used to love PVP in D1, but this is a battle with your own sanity and patience. But hey, that sweat with the 6.0 KD is having a blast using all meta weapons/supers to pub stomp you, who cares that you aren't having fun...

Maybe we will get lucky and whatever the bunch of ex-Bungie employees that got hired by Sony will create what D2 should have been...
 
Finished day1 challenge mode vault of glass took 17.5 hours.

The rng of the last encounter is what makes it tough since you can't assign roles beforehand. Warlocks are just too versatile for these day1 races.

Took us about 12 hours for the regular contest mode. Didn't even get to do challenge mode since half our group had to dip. So disappointed there's not a 24 hour emblem for contest mode. Would make sense to have one for contest mode and then an even more baller one for challenge mode

kind of depends on what weapons you have but you can either spawn them using ikelos or sereph weapons or with explosive solar/void damage with the mod. This video gives a overview with the new mod and other existing mods that synergize.

Yeah the new artifact mod is great. I built around my truthteller launcher using top tree warlock void. Breach and clear is an absolute must as well even with tbe 9 energy it takes.

been busy over the weekend messing with my new PC and didn't really get a chance to play much, including VOG. looks like I'll be missing the first week. still working on finishing the IB quest and I'm only on the sniper part, which I suck like hell with. guess I'll have to wait for the next IB to finish that.

Any recommendations for ahunter exotic? I realized I'm running frostees still and they are ok but seem to be only ok.

if you're talking about PvP, for Stasis hunter, it seems that Mask of Bakris, the helmet that let you do the shift teleport instead of dodge roll would be pretty good. if PvE, probably Star Eater Scales legs. but you might want to switch to solar to take full advantage thou.

edit: surprisingly, I actually finished the IB quest after a couple hours of grinding. now, time to grind for VOG clear the next couple of days.

I was thinkithe star eater ones too but that's just not from legendary lost sectors, right? I'm only level 1287 or something right now
 
Anyone know of a decent sized clan on PS4/5 that is looking for players? I need one more that will also accept my kids who play every once in a while on their accounts but they are 12 and 10.

I want one that is laid back and not hardcore but still likes to do stuff like raid which I want to start trying.

I looked on the app and they all want 21+ usually.

Sounds like PvE wasn't changed too much.

I was playing in a strike the other day with a person that was constantly dropping some kind of solar aoes from what I assume is a grenade launcher. Never seen that before. He was a Warlock if that matters. He crushed everything. Was in ps5.

I got null composure last night, it any good?
 
Vex mythocast is ass. It's mediocre in pvp and pointless in pve. So I'm not really too pressed to get it.

I really wanted 1k and eyes and those took probably around 2 dozen clears each.

I thought witherhoard at first but since you said solar it's probably sunbracers gives you infinite solar grenades after a melee kill.

Null isn't very good because it's a rapid fire frame so its the lowest damage fusion rifle so reservoir burst won't cause these massive chain explosions like loaded question.

I unlocked the warmind mod last night. Just need to get a build figured out.
 
I really wish they would fix the lfg part of the app on ps5. I don't want to friend people all the time.

I fully agree with Datto's view here in regards to the "cost" of things you can do in PvP. I dislike Destiny PvP for a lot of reasons, and shotgun apes is one of them.same goes for abilities to be honest. will need to watch the whole Fallout/Cool guy/Cammy interview with the dev. should be interesting listen at the very least.
 
Trials 3 win is the SMG. God tier SMG. Only no -sunset void one I think too. Heating Up/Kill Clip is the roll to go for. If you get heating up then don't bother using the counterbalance stock mod, you won't need it. Go with backup mag instead.
 
Since season of the splicer I think nothing is working in destiny as they should. So many qol network problems.
Now again the chat function is not working and Companion app is just as moody. atleast join id is back.

Did the Pit of Heresy just for fun after such a long time and the last encounter teleporting sword wielding guys was insane. Like literally every 3 seconds.

Beagle? Yeah it's known issue they're working on. Current work around is either to move the game to a cold storage external and move it back, or completely reinstall. Either works. It'sa fucking stupid issue that should've been caught well before the season launched.

Thought about it. I'm going to give the new clan a shot, try to do some raids/dungeons/100k night falls. I've never done any of those so I'd like to give it a go before being done.

With ESO getting it's patch and stuff like ratchet coming it will be easy to stop.
 
Are the servers down or something? I'm getting an error code "marionberry" when I try to launch the game but the help site won't let me search either.

hopefully you're doing this with your clanmates while chatting on Discord or something. I've had some of the most fun moments when doing raids while chatting with the team I'm with.
