Spencer and other members of the senior management team at Xbox are "disturbed and deeply troubled by the horrific events and actions" at Activision Blizzard, the memo said

An email to staff obtained by Bloomberg from Spencer said Xbox is "evaluating all aspects of our relationship with Activision Blizzard and making ongoing proactive adjustments."

Speaking to The New York Times, Spencer said Xbox has "changed how we do certain things" with Activision

So concerned about all the shenanigans they go and buy the company...

No doubt Call of Duty will recouperate all the money back, Even with sales being down on Vanguard it still made an absolute shitton,

Exciting times and MS isnt messing around, people saying "dont care" are just salty fanboys YEET

I'm not getting it... somehow in the dark every shareholder decided to sell at the same time? wtf? something's not explained right here :messenger_tears_of_joy:
You only need 51% of share holders to say yes...Kotick and a few institutional holders that want Kotick out and a 40% premium all it would take. 88% of the shares are held by institutions...MS isn't having face to face meetings with individual share holders that have 50 shares....

Worth it.

The recent drop in share price due to the scandals have allowed this to happen.
Blizzard, like Bethesda, had mnany IPs I once loved.

And frankly i see the buyout as a good thing, as they were both rotten to the core and needed to have their management surgically removed.

As long as they still release PC games, I have no complaints. It is 50/50 odds that Blizzard get better after merger, but it is better odds than being 100% dead to me as Blizzard currently stands.

Microsoft's answer to the stalker 2 delay. Boom!

Great time to be an Xbox owner! This news will still a ton of series s consoles!!!woot

As a PC gamer I don't like this. What if Sony ends up buying CAPCOM or Square to counter? I am fine with all these studios being third parties because PC ports are a lock. The only good thing that may come out of this is MS stopping the trend of Activision being a COD machine. I want CTR on PC and many other IPs from activision to make a comeback.

At least Crash and Spyro are not dead anymore.

Ubisoft will be the next on the acquisition line, maybe Sony will make a move this time.

LOL. Holy shit.

This is a huge deal but funny enough, I literally can't remember the last time I bought an Activision game, their stuff just doesn't interest me.

It's pretty wild though, I figured Activision/Blizzard would be too costly for a company to just buy. The coming years are going to be really interesting.

Duuuuude this is huge!
I wonder what the ramification of this will be.

Like all future Acti + Blizz games Xbox exclusive?
I am still in shock of this announcement. The fact that this underwent silently without any leaks until it's 99% done is also quit scary.

Bethesda made sense since they had so much history with Xbox since the first one (and their games were broken on PlayStation until PS4).

This is getting to be a bit much though. Was hoping they'd be sticking to smaller companies for any further acquisitions.
